The Official Moto X Customization Thread!

If the off-contract price is right I will be getting it to. Any new rumors? I feel the $500+ price tag is inaccurate.

As for Customization (If I get it):
Green Back
Yellow Trim
Red Accent (Power & Volume Buttons, Camera ring, etc.)
Black Front
Boot Message (If True): Welcome <Insert Name Here>, I am starting up!
And Engraving: My name and maybe a cool little message.

32 GB version will only be available on Motomaker at launch for AT&T. There has been no announcement yet as to whether they will offer 32GB on other carriers at all. Also no word if the standard black and white in stores will ever be offered with a 32GB option.

Agreed, it's sad they have made any concessions to a single carrier in this roll out. It should be available for all.
I completely agree! The whole excitement (Minus the software feature) Was a wishful low-off-contract price and the Moto Maker anywhere. If Motorola charges an insanely high price directly from their website and no Moto Maker (Ever) than Motorola is gonna sink, probably beyond the point of no return. I hope they don't end up like Nokia did awhile back. you'd figure Google would've set them in the right direction, but, contracts are contracts I guess.

I can almost guarantee they will price it 575-650 off contract, it sucks but that is what it is.

I got a Motorola Atrix 4G for
Christmas in 2011 running Gingerbread. Moto
promised us an update to ICS sometime in
2012. They kept pushing out the delivery date
until finally they said no update at all. I will
never buy another Moto phone

I'm wondering two things here.

1. Why are you cruising a Motorola phone thread if you are never going to buy a Moto again?

2. What you're complaining about nearly every if not every Android phone maker has done at one time or another, or multiple times. Are you going to move to IOS?

I causes me to wonder ... if you're hoping someone will convince you to come back because you secretly love Motorola build quality, call quality, style and feel. Well hang around, there are lots of people here that really enjoy Motorola products.

If you look over to the side
<------

You will see I had the Atrix 4G as well. But yet here I am looking at my 4th Moto handset, that's not an accident, lots of research and real world testing.

I liked my LG Dare (media phone), my first (and previous) smartphone was the OG Droid. I LOVED that phone, even if it was stuck at a Froyo ROM. But the X is so far past those old devices... as is the G2.

As I explained to someone in Google+, they can chase specs if they want to and buy the G2... but they'll likely be pulling their hair out after 3 months because of lack of functionality. Great hardware, sucky software.

The Moto X, on the other hand, has software features to slobber over... but the hardware (admittedly not quad-core beast stuff) is set up differently. It doesn't need quad-core because (a) most quad devices never use them all; and (b) the X has co-processors to handle the hard work while the dual-cores wait for something to do.

Which is what optimization is all about.

I like the four days or less for shipping at the end. Hopefully since I am going pretty standard and bumping to 32 it may come quicker.

What I am hoping for that if the 32gb is available online only that they open up motomaker four days early so people can order the phone and still get it at launch. I just want a 32gb moto x in all white.

According to their Twitter announcement today, Verizon starts offering the X on Thursday the 29th... black or white, 16 or 32 GB. Online only!!! Grrrr!

I am of the personal opinion that they're pulling another Galaxy Nexus style launch here, sabotaging the phone in favor of selling more Droids... which have 5 times the bloat on them as the X. Again, my personal opinion.

I really wanted to walk away from the store with a phone Thursday: well, that ain't happening!

So they are offering 32gb now? I thought it was for MotoMaker only exclusive for At&t until that runs out?
