I can tell you that I have had the Otterbox Defender on my Blackberry Pearl for nearly three years now, and I absolutely love it. I was inspired to get one after I saw a Youtube video of some guy throwin' his phone (with Otterbox) down a flight of stairs and the phone was just fine. If I take my phone out of its case right now it looks brand new, and I can't wait until they come out with a case for the Incredible.

Nope...can't use it. But it will remain on your account till you do use it.

For me...I'm still doing a one year and will use my $50 credit towards a 4G LTE phone next year

Yes and no. Remember that phones like the droid store the third-party apps you buy in the ROM. Therefor, the ROM can be written in normal operating mode. My WinMo phone stores apps, contacts, calendar data, most everything in the ROM. So, there are ROMs that must be programmed all at once while in a special mode, and some that act more like NVRAM. I'd be curious to see the data sheet on the chip that provides the 512MB ROM in the phone.

Do a Google search on DVD to MP4 converters. I have one I use to convert DVD's and put in Itunes for my Ipod as well as my wifes. Works fine. However, to my knowledge there is no converter for HD or Blueray DVDs yet.

No, simple as that they won't let you use your NE2 credit. The price you typically pay is 70 dollars o top of a regular 2yr agreement. You missed out as they were offering the phone for 229.99 on a 1yr contract this past Monday.

those who own the phone, can you edit text in text messages and emails where you hold your finger on the screen and it zooms in so you can pinpoint exactly where you want to put the cursor?

Thanks, but I still don't like the idea of paying $300-400 for the helmet set and having to use in-helmet speakers. The noise isolation ear buds give much better quality sound and still let me hear important outside noises...horns, engine rev, and foot peg sliders scraping asphalt.

Can't wait to get my Inc!

OMG Best Buy SUCKS!! They just reneged on my Pre-Order!​

To Best Buy Corporate.

I’m very disappointed with the manager of the Best Buy store 1947 in Alpharetta Georgia. To the point I feel I need to express my opinions. It all started when you offered pre-orders for Verizon’s Incredible on this 18th of this month. I was the first in that location to do so. The clerk was very nice but apparently failed to completely inform me of the policies.
See since I recently purchased a Verizon Eris at another Best Buy location, they were more than happy to price match Amazon to get the deal. I of course was very pleased. And so was my daughter. Then now seeing the phone “I” wanted available at Best buy I didn’t hesitate to preorder not even thinking you wouldn’t match Verizon’s own pricing. But apparently that IS the case.
I found out the next day this particular store did NOT honor the new every two discounts that Verizon offers to its long time customers. For me that equates to $114 in discounts & taxes that I lose for the “privilege “ of buying thru Best Buy. Not willing to accept that, I called back and verified this, then requested my money back of course. Tim completely understood and was more than happy to do so and asked me to come back to the store again. I did, only to find out there was no way in your system to do the refund.
Tim, the assistant manager decided, since he could not refund my money, decided to do the right thing and honor the discounts I would have lost buying thru him. I was very pleased. I got the discounts I earned, and the insurance policy I desired. (I like yours better than Verizon’s)
All was fine until today. Apparently the manager was not happy with this. Amazingly they found a way to refund my money instead! I got a call. And now I have to drive to that location yet a 3rd time and get my money refunded rather than to stick to the deal they made with me.
Oh I’ll get my phone for $99 dollars in any case thru Verizon. That’s not the point. The point is I was misinformed (or misunderstood), then satisfied, then they backed out with a surprise phone call. And for my time and trouble of driving there 3 times to resolve this, I end up right back where I started. With nothing.
I learned a lot here. I found out SOME Best Buys honor the new every 2 without hesitation. Some do not. And apparently some will even back out of doing so at any given moment. That leaves a bitter taste in my mouth.
I’ll keep the Eris. My daughter is excited about it. But I WILL be canceling the Insurance I have with it and look elsewhere. I’m within my 30 days. I like your Insurance policy. It’s just now I apparently can’t trust the management with what will be honored and what won’t be. I cannot live with that. And that’s disappointing. Because Now I’ll have to think twice about any future major purchases with Best Buy.

Thanks for reading this long winded vent. It also serves as a warning to those who may be expecting a deal at Best Buy. BE CAREFUL!

And to Frustrate matters... I tried to order by phone with Verizon twice. They can't do it? And of course I tried to preorder online and the site went down!

THIS IS NOT MY DAY!!! AAAHH!!

Update.. WooHoo!! Verizon is back up and I got my order in! All is well.

Yes, for the extended 2100 mAh battery and the included case it was $59.99 the case also looked really great! just like the original.

Not too bad if you ask me! plus, with it being OEM / official from verizon, I'm pretty certain their ratings are going to be right.

DI has the same resolution as the N1 and that is what the N1 uses from what I've seen.

Quick question, does anybody know if the DI can accept commands from headphones with in-line volume controls? Like volume up and down, pause/play music, skip song, etc.

I called *611 and ordered the red/black gradient. He manually entered my 25% discount and I paid $20.05. I also gave him the FREEOVERNT coupon code for free over night shipping and that worked too. Only problem is I ordered it after 5pm EST so it wont ship until tomorrow and I wont get it until monday. What a waste of free over night shipping. lol.

Well, my case shipped out from Verizon. Just need that phone.....

I'm just curious:

If they have the phones in stock, why would he have to use one of the crappiest, earliest leaked pics of the phone in his ad?

Why not just take a pic of the actual phone or (if he didn't want to open up the new box) a pic of the cover of the box, which would also serve to better prove he actually has it?

Just a thought
