Help Cant mount sd card and my torch doesnot work

My lcd screen cracked last year, so i gave phone to local service and they repaired last week. I am trying to install a new rom for days but i cant manage.

I tried cm version13 and aurora, but my torch doesnot work. EVen in camera, in flash mode. Should i again open phone and look if there is a problem or it is about software?

And other question, i cant mount my internal sd card. WHen i open es file, it only shows /sdcard, and nothing more.

Now i opening storage, total space 1.40 gb, apps 32 mb, intrnal stroage 1.02 gb and i took of external to see. In file exploerer, again i can only see sd card0. I cant see my system or anything. 1-2 years ago i could see my system. And i connect to pc, there is only one parttion. 1-2 years ago there were 2, one of internal sd other one is phone memory.

Please help me to solve this. And i mneed a rom that is only fast and using battery nicely.

Hi Cursed Chico, You're username says it all. Was it the LCD screen or the Digitizer screen that cracked?
The screen that you touch is the Digitizer screen. The LCD is behind that, so it's not very likely for that to crack without damage to the Digitizer screen.
Anyway, when you touch Menu > Settings > Storage > it shows SD card - Total space. This is the size of the card you put in. (mine has a 8GB card and shows 7.46GB)
It shows under that the Available space (7.13GB)
Unmount SD card is next - touch this and a warning shows.
Erase SD card - then Internal SD card is shown.
This is the 2.00GB in the motherboard. It shows Available space, then,
Erase Internal SD card followed by Available space (mine shows 422MB)
and the last entry is Software upgrade.

You say es file? Where is that?

When you go > Menu > Settings > About phone > what Android version is shown? Neil.

Hello. I thought i would receive instant notification but it did not send. Yes, my username says how my life is.

It was lcd screen, cracked 2. times.

i go storage and i can see ext and int sd card's space but in file manager i can only see ext sd card but when i connect to pc, it shows 2 drivers, int and ext. So, i thinkthere is no problem about that.

Now i cant take my phone back.

2 weeks ago, the screen was changed. THen i installed aurora v20. It was good but discharhing fast and my flash were not working. And i could not see my internal sd. It was not mounted. So, i wanted to go back to stock rom to see what will happen. I wiped in cwm . After a few trying, it went this loop. NOw my phone is open, 2.3.5. But if i restarts, it will again not open, maybe open but a lot of popups that show stop activity. If i dont wipe datya in android recovery, i cant open the phone.

I am having troubles for weeks and still can't do anything

I can only go into Android recovery, and can wipe data. Then after 2-3 restarts, Huawei X5 boots. If I restart phone, a lot of windows showing stop activities shows. I can't even click restart button.

So, I put 2.3.5 first, then Gingerbread "custom app" to download in external and internal SD. After wiping in Android recovery, I power off. With + - and power, I made it update. This time, updates were successful. Before, it was always failing.

It could make updates. But after updates, it could not start again. After loading Huawei logo, it restarts and can't go to homescreen. So, I had to go to Adnroid recovery again and wipe data.

I can't change recovery because I can't install superuser. Superuser should be restarted, but if it is restarted, phone can't start.

I can only use SD card, after wiping data, until one restart. How can I change without rooting recovery? And I change recovery, does this help? I don't know what the problem is.

In my sd card, there are dload s, aurora 4.0 s, cyangane , partition zip and like that a lot of zips but in android recovery , when i try to install, it fails. Only i can install in update mode (Volume up volume down and power), the one in dload file. After updating that (to 2.3.5.), it restarts 1-2 times maybe, then i can go into desktop and settings. But if i restart again, it breaks. I am bored of this. What is wrong with phone? I downloaded a lot of dload files, maybe i am not using the proper one.

Hi Chico, phone:Huawei u8800 x5

android version:2.3.5

kernel: 2.6.35.7-perf

build number: u8800v100r001c00b526g001
My phone shows same info except no X5.
Please confirm: Your phone is still rooted and is Gingerbread 2.3.5?

I'm wondering whether you need to invest in a new Micro SD card of 2GB capacity and just put the one dload app that you want on it. Make sure you have Backed up to your comp so that you can Restore later.

I would be inclined to re-install the Huawei Gingerbread 2.3.5 and see if it stabilizes - then try your wanted ROM from there. Neil.

I could not make root because if i restarted, it would not be able to openagain. It keeps restarting and autmatically go into android recovery and wipes data.

Yesterday i did soemthing and now it is in 2.2.1.

I tried to install 2.3.5 b137 in dload, it updated but then couldnot load and wiped data and now it is inn 2.2.1.

If i try to insatall 2.3.5, it will do restarting loop again i guess.

Yesterday in 2.2.1, i installed super user, then cwm and then tried to install 2.3.5. But it again restarted after succcesfull update and went into android recovery (i dont know happened to cwm) and back to 2.2.1

Edit: now after wpiping data, it installs 2.3.5 . No more 2.2.1. I dont understand sometimes it resets to 2.2.1, sometimes to 2.3.5

Hi Chico, If you dial *#*#2846579#*#* > Project Menu > S/H version query > #'s 6,7 & 8 will show Apps version number:
U8800V100R001C00B526
which corresponds with the Gingerbread B526 dload and #9 will show the time and date it was installed.
That was the Official Huawei 2.3.5 dload which was able to be installed by > Menu > Settings > About phone > Online upgrade.
If you have that installed, I would leave it for a few hours to stabilize and see if you can install your custom ROM after that. Neil.

Found this:
Downgrade from 2.3.5 back to 2.2.2

1) Download U8800 V100R001C00B526G001 (Normal Gingerbread).zip (Android 2.2.2)
2) Extract the "dload" folder and copy it (along with its contents) to the ROOT of the SD Card.
3) Turn on your U8800 while holding [VOL-] and [VOL+] and the Android 2.2.2 install should start.
4) Once finished you should be back to 2.2.2.
5) If you phone does not boot correctly power on phone while holding [VOL+] to boot into recovery and Reset to factory defaults.
6) Delete the "dload" folder from the SD Card.

Chico, You have downloaded and installed a Beta Version (B518).:smokingsomb:
It's always better to use a non-beta version in any upgrade software!
This always the testing version which may have "bugs" and will be repaired/fixed by the developers.

I would suggest you try and get back to Factory Default (out of the box) condition. This was Froyo 2.2.1 I think. You will need to Google for instructions on the correct way to do this.

You will need to Un-Root your phone to get back to normal out of the box state.

Once you are back to Standard, then Upgrade through Huawei online upgrade which will be the Stable Gingerbread 2.3.5. (B526).

Then Root the phone again, but try and use ROM's that are rated highly and show largest number of downloads.

It pays to be careful and read as much about processes before firing ahead with unproven systems. Best of luck. Neil.

Hi Chico, nice to see you are back to normal. As I said previously, do your homework when choosing a ROM to update to.
Make sure you read any Reviews and select one that has good reviews and no "bugs" to worry about.
Try and get the best info to follow - you will need to upgrade to Gingerbread before trying to install Aurora ICS or any other higher version than 2.3.5.
Take care and make sure your battery is fully charged before starting. Lol. Neil.;)

Hi Chico, This link is to Huawei Software Downloads. You will need to > Please select product type (Smartphone) and > Please select product (Huawei U8800) and you will see only 2.
One is Beta 2.3 and the other is B138SP04.
B138SP04 is the Standard Froyo 2.2.1 Firmware. This is the one needed to get your phone back to normal.
Once it's running normally, go into Menu > Settings > About phone > Online upgrade > Firmware upgrade/System software upgrade.
Here you will get the Huawei Official Gingerbread 2.3.5 which will download and install if you follow the instructions.
This is the way I did 2 phones without problems.
'+'Software'+' - '+'Huawei Device Co., Ltd..'+'

Don't be tempted to try other Downloads or you will run into trouble.
The list you posted previously were through MediaFire and may have been corrupted. Neil.

Hi Chico, Where are you located? I'm a bit stumped at the moment as I have tried to find Downloads at Huawei Device com. and it seems they have withdrawn support for some of their products.
I've emailed them to try and get some sense out of it. I tried their 0800 phone for NZ and ended up with a Japanese female telling me various departments to connect to, but I couldn't get through.
If there is no help from them (Huawei), you may have to try that B526 Beta Download again.
Someone Posted on a Forum a while ago, that when using the Micro SD card for dload, he used an empty 2GB max size card with nothing else but the dload on it. He said it was more reliable and worked for him.
I'll post a reply when I get news from Huawei. Neil.

I always make format sd card and make dload and pull out battery while updating but nothingh changes :(

I even installed ubuntu, i tried various things but i am tired at last

Hi Chico, You are having fun - NOT!
Just to check - is your phone still Rooted?
Have you got CWM installed?

I can't figure out why you are unable to install Gingerbread 2.3.5 if your phone is running OK with Froyo 2.2.2. Neil.

Not rooted. If i try to install a rom and go into bootloop, cwm gets wiped too. NOw cwm is installed but cant mount sd ext.
(before flashing i root of course but after wiping autmatically, root goes)

I cant figure out too. Now i am on 2.2.2 but before even i cant go into that too. I tried a lot of things.

Maybe i need to change boot image or something or imei, maybe i should full reset from adb?
