boneface right now is working on a kernel on our phone and he also said he would try to port cm10 on our wonderful device that's what I heard

I hope boneface is successful in his attempt to build a kernel. I don't know if it is harder then a rom to build but I believe he can do it. IMHO I would rather see a custom kernel b4 CM10.

Well if we get cm10 then we can also port Paranoid Anndroid I think...

i appreciate your guys confidence in me, but sorry i havent delivered.
works been really busy lately so i havent even had time to sit at the computer.
i was working on a kernel, but it i left it at a certian point because it wasnt compiling right, so i need to start over.
customizing a kernel is alot harder than building a rom. especially when the kernel source for our device isnt available and i have to work with what i can find.
it would probably help if enough people contacted huawei and demanded to release our kernel.
themeing this phone is also almost impossible..huawei tends to make things really hard for people to mod their stuff im finding out.
anyway..my plans are to:
1. change from linux to ubuntu
2. try and recompile the kernel without error
3. port jelly bean (the right way, not the copy and paste way)
4. have a couple of beers.

themeing is impossible with this phone... lol im never buying a huawei again aha my next phone will either be a l9 or the f3 but i will contact huawei and see what they say.

Bonehead you are the man and I totally appreciate you putting time into this at all. We are all impatient for a customer om kernel and cyanogenmod, but if we wanted it that bad wed learn what needed to be done to.do it ourselves. I hope you have time to make progress soon but life has to come before hobbies. Im just glad someone wants to work on this sucker, though I dont understand why its.not.more popular fonsidering the hardware to price ratio. I hate htc, and samsung, and I cant afford the lg I would want, so I hope huawei gains a little more traction stateside in the future. That and they become a little more dev friendly.
Edit: also, hella excited.for the Edge and Ubuntu phone! That shiz will knock boots!
