Root Call volume fix for cm10

Do you also have working SMS on that HK build?

nobody has working sms/mms on hk build. so why ask the question in the first place. this has been discussed at length before. everybody wants working sms on hk build but nobody wants to put forth the effort. has anybody tried installing fb and fb messenger then allowing fb messenger to take control of sms and see if that works? i know i've used text plus on hk rom and sms mms worked fine thru the text plus app. just sayin.

I'm not sure if that explains why it bricks my phone though. I tried installing the soundfix.zip a second time and got bricked again.

what are you flashing it on? and if you didn't use any of the other previously tried attempts at fixing call volume ,why would you flash it. the file at the bottom labeled call volume fix is the only needed file on a fresh install of cm. the other files were only for people with existing installs and had used the previous fixes that weren't exactly the best method for call fix but were better than nothing at the time.

I flashed only soundfix.zip to my phone and it bricked my LG Motion. Running stock firmware F.

I assumed that's what I was supposed to install, because it's "Flashable zip provided by johnnyl1111 for files above".

So what's wrong here?

He flashed it on stock F, which I would assume indeed would have bricked your phone. Basically you just flashed cm10 default sound files over a stock build. Not a good idea.

I said stock firmware F. :)

I cannot see any instructions in the OP to indicate that reason for using it.

the file at the bottom labeled call volume fix is the only needed file on a fresh install of cm.
This is also not stated in the OP.

the other files were only for people with existing installs and had used the previous fixes that weren't exactly the best method for call fix but were better than nothing at the time.
Well now we know. I do appreciate it.

stock has excellent call volume so im sure why anybody would want to do that.
Stock has mediocre call volume on my phone, but I think we may be going off topic now. So I think we now know why I got bricked and could not get this to work. Swainsmith82, please let's fill in the missing info on the OP of this thread and hopefully no one else will needlessly get bricked like me. ;)

(And pretty please put volumefix.zip as the First link, instead of last)

I'll add that this is only for cm10, but I'm not going to change the entire op just because one person couldn't figure it out through reading the ENTIRE op FIRST. I have a life...

If you have trouble hearing on stock clean out your speaker..

Just change the title to CyanogenMod 10 call volume fix

You say it like editing the OP takes forever :p
But then again, I don't think anyone has ever had volumes issues on stock, so if they did and they opened this thread, at least they can see that it says for CM10 only.
And I wonder why it would brick Sepero on stock though, xLoud+clear audio is confirmed to work on stock.

Redoing an op does take time especially when you have a three year old running around...

No one is saying something bad, we all appreciate the fix you provided us, although I personally haven't used it myself, others have and really appreciate it.
You CAN edit the OP title, just hit go advanced and change the title and it changes the thread title :p
Don't get a bit upset over a little confusion from a member who got bricked and others trying to help you so that others don't get bricked again for whatever reason and you don't have to deal with this anymore.

I know how to change the title but it only sticks in the thread you won't see the title change on the main thread board as I've stated numerous times previously. I don't think ANYONE else had any confusion so until it becomes a problem for everyone I'm not going to change the entire op. O added that it is only for cm10. I guess you have tp hold some folks hands through the entire process. This could of been avoided by READING.
