Firstly, THANKS for helping me merging my messages for my convenience view. Secondly, I am a believer and nothing is "not possile". I for sure, will keep y'all updated on my researched. However, ANY further news from any1 out here or successfully 'unlock' that idiot S3 information is MUCH needed and also deeply appreciated. GOD Bless.

eh even if it could be unlocked all benefit would probaly be is you would be able to use data off a another sim card instead of a uicc. but calls and 1x/3g and texts wouldnt work. since the phone is dependent on two radios. the cdma radio for calls and txts and the lte radio for 4g data. there would be no way to make the phone be dependent on one radio alone for everything.

mr shabbypenguin.........the Samsung r530m has imei and its 14 digit its very difficult either way to unlock the gsm or to repair the imei by default 16 digit pw

ok I fix my imei with dfs program but now no singnal looking at prl its 0 I try to write it back to the phone but will not stick.....aim using 4.1.2 firmware......

I tried to flash with different version still the result is the same..when I read the phone with cdma workshop it shows the prl 3032 but when I read inside the phone the prl is 0?

I don't know about that . Did you say unlock a s2 . .if u had a s3 or s4 i would hit u with a free way .problem free hook up but s2 is funny

lets say you could unlock it, and there was some hidden way that eluded everyone here for months. you still couldnt use it on boost, boost is cdma and runs on sprints network. best you could hope to do is esn flash it to a donor phone (legal grey area) and get boost service with voice/text and after many many hours might get 3g (never 4g).

boost does have teh sgs3, so sell the metro one and take your best hope at buying a boost one :/

You are correct, but even if I get a bit of service or be able to flash the phone to boost that will be really great, I was wondering if you knew how to retrieve that 16 digit password maybe? Thanks

But boost is doing some work . I don't like boost nor sprint they are dead man walking . And the only carrier that i know of that will drop a call if you was standing in front of a powerful tower. Boost and sprint is good only for its pushtotalk. How about flash to straightalk .....is better

unfortunately im starting to suspect we will never know it. there has been mixed results all around, i had my buddy autoprime look through the modem files and couldnt find any shred of teh code like there normally is.

boost sgs3 is 350 brand new from their site, sell your sgs3 for at least 300 and you will be only out a minimal amount. sucks but it is the best way to ensur eyou have the greatest phone on boost, but also you run into the least amount of problems.

the downside of the boost sgs3, is there is NO dev support. you have to flash a bunch of mods to get cm working, let alone any other roms. kind of funny the metropcs sgs3 is one of teh better supported devices currently out there
