Help My U8150 has an irritating tendency to use my network provider for Internet when I have a great Wifi

My phone connects to my home Wifi and although when connected the signal is good, it tends to drop the signal and use my mobile network for data instead which is both slower and potentially very expensive (if I end up exceeding my limit). I have a suspicion that the phone is dropping the Wifi signal to save battery which is fine when it's not in need of data via the Internet but when it is, I want it to check whether it can connect to Wifi first. Does anyone else have this problem?

The Wifi, when connected usually has three bars, so that cannot be an issue. When I enter the Wifi settings, it seems to notice and connect to the Wifi network but it should jolly well do that without my intervention!

Hi sean, 2.5.1 Connect to the Internet using a Wi-Fi router.
1. Touch > Settings > Wireless & networks > Tethering & portable hotspot>
Portable Wi-Fi hotspot.

2. To set Wi-Fi network SSID and password, touch > Settings > Wireless &
networks > Tethering & portable hotspot > Portable Wi-Fi hotspot > Portable
Wi-Fi hotspot settings > Configure Wi-Fi hotspot.

2.5.2 How come I cannot properly use the Internet after I am
connected to the hotspot?
1. The network SSID and password have changed.
2. Your SIM or USIM card's balance is low.
3. You are out of the Wi-Fi hotspot signal coverage.
4. The connection limit of the Wi-Fi hotspot has already reached.

2.5.3 Why am I failed to connect to Wi-Fi?
1. You are out of the Wi-Fi hotspot signal coverage.
2. The connection limit of the Wi-Fi hotspot has already reached.
3. You have entered the wrong password.

From the FAQ's Manual. Hope there is an answer for you. Neil.;)

Hi Jesa89, This is from the Huawei U8150 User FAQ's Manual:

1.3.8 How many text messages can be saved on my phone?
1. The total number of messages saved on your phone is related to the phone storage.
Touch > Settings> SD card & phone storage> Internal phone storage.
2. A thread can contain up to 999 text messages. By default, a thread contains 200 text messages on your phone.
*To set the text messages in a thread: Touch Messaging> > Settings> Text message limit, and then set the text message limit.*

If you go to * area, you will find you can > check > Delete old Messages. You can adjust message limits to your own number etc.

Your phone Internal Memory is 200MB, 256MB RAM and 512MB ROM.

The answer is to get a Micro SD card of a size to suit your needs. Download Astro File Manager (free) from Google PlayStore and also Apps2SD, which will enable you to move what you want, to your Micro SD card and free up space on the internal memory.

I hope this is what you wanted to know. Cheers Neil.
