So everything works besides 1080p recording

He suggested this to me to unlock the bootloader. There is even a video.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2277639

I don't have this fone yet but I watched the video and it doesn't seem that hard to do. Just make sure you download the zip file in the op with everything you need because it comes with the .kdz file needed to get the job done

is there any easier way to unlock our bootloader or at least a good video plz:thinking:

thanks to you i have a inverted screen that goes in and out and hey guess what my bootloader is still LOCKED

ps. that method only works on p769 NOT MS769:thinking:

The man was trying to help you Brah, it's not right to blame him because you didn't understand the instructions.

That being said, that's the same method I used to unlock the bootloader on my S769, so yes it DOES work on our MetroPCS phones and the guy in the video has links to pretty much everything you need to get the job done.

The inverted screen is because its a European firmware, unfortunately none of the US firmwares will accept the "adb reboot oem-unlock" command.

Yes the screen will be inverted and the touchscreen will be "wonky" you'll have to navigate through that to enable usb debugging, install from unknown sources and click "show touches" to make things a little easier, install CWM, reboot into CWM and flash the radio fix (supposedly you need to have a signal for the oem-unlock command to work). once the radio.zip is flashed reboot, connect your phone to your PC and set USB connection to "LG Software Mode". now you MUST wait 30 minutes (read this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2221102 while you wait.

Once your bootloader is unlocked and CWM touch is installed via fastboot, reboot into CWM touch and restore the backup Nandroid of your stock rom (you DID make a backup of the stock rom before flashing 20B right?) after restore is complete flash the touchscreen fix and then flash this http://androidforums.com/optimus-l9...fter-attempted-root-metropcs.html#post6064397 (link on post 14) to fix the inverted screen.

Hey bawlz_mcnutt, did you have to bring it back down to v10g like its saying on the vid (at 7:11 ish?) or how he is describing it on the comments? or do we metropcs users do not have to worry about that and just go on with the vid? Cause my version number isLGMS76910b, and it doesnt get mentioned at all. Thanks in advance though :D :D

No I never needed to flash 10G, 20B was all I needed to unlock the bootloader then I just went and restored the nandroid backup of the stock 10B rom and flashed the touchscreen + inverted screen fix, booted the phone and made sure everything was working correctly, rebooted back into CWM Touch, did a wipe data/factory reset + wipe dalvik and flashed BobZhome's CM10.1 Rom.

OK after using CM10.1 for a few days now I wanted to point out a couple of small issues I was having and wanted to know if anyone else is experiencing them.

Trying to make phone calls while my phone is paired and connected to a bluetooth headset (Playstation 3 bluetooth headset Version 1) makes the phone app crash/freeze, are any of you guys having the same issue? it could just be that this rom doesn't like my headset.

The other issue I have is the default music player (Apollo) seems to skip every now and again while playing music, its a small issue and I could probably work around it by installing a different music player but I like how Apollo is integrated into the notification and lock screen so would prefer to keep using it if there's a fix for the audio skipping.

In Apollo is there a setting for audio buffer size? If so, make it a little larger then test. and keep going little by little and see if it stops your "skipping"

Hmm, not seeing an option to change the audio buffer size in the Apollo app, I am however using DSP Manager to enhance the sound when using headphones, would that possibly be the cause?

All you can do is try. DSP does stand for digital signal processing, so maybe the "processing" is making it skip

I'll try shutting off DSP and see if it helps later, I went and installed the trial version of PowerAmp, I can see why so many people hype this app up. I may go ahead and buy the pro version, gotta test it out a little more though.

Alright, so ive watched the video, still a little confused though.. haha, Does this also give you root, or are you supposed to be rooted prior to it and then you follow the instructions from the video? And at what point are we able to make a backup of our stock ROM ? Cause again, are we suppose to be rooted already and have CWM, or .... what?? haha sorry, just trying to do this right, and since a restore of your backed up stock rom is required, i would like to know how and when it is that we can do that.

Either way, thanks a bunch guys you guys are speedy at replying, and i cant wait to try out CM10.1 and hopefully sometime in the future CM10.2!! :smokingsomb::smokingsomb::smokingsomb::rock:

N7Player is nice too. That's what I use. I used to use power app and that is also a great app.

Interesting... I'm using PowerAmp and still occasionally getting skipping audio.
Problem must be somewhere else, but PowerAmp seems to have an Audio Buffer Size option so that should hopefully fix it.:smokingsomb:

I also am using power amp and got the "skipping" problem. I set the buffer to 250ms (2nd or middle option) and everything works fine now.

Finally got CM10 installed !!!! WHOOOO!! But, its kinda choppy... haha. i tried it out for a day, giving it some time to load everything uo, but no buttery smoothness. Are you guys experiencing the same performance ? Just curious, if not, then im gonna give it a second shot. Thanks though :)

NINJA EDIT: Nevermind, already added in BobZ's tree.

NINJA EDIT 2: Wait, I don't see the SGX540 tuning prop in BobZ's CM10.1 branch. Can we get a backport of this prop into CM10.1: https://github.com/BobZmotion/android_device_lge_p769/commit/5e68d4a5a5e3838a0c821596d5ede95ae0b7e889

However, one other thing I did was enable the "Wallpaper Hack" in the Launcher settings.
