Root a way to avoid throttling?

As far as rom sound quality I agree that nega's blurom is pretty great, however whether using poweramp or jet audio I have gotten the best results with flashing the Acid audio mod over at xda, I'm using it with PACMan and it's awesome. Somewhat of a pain to install, need to flash 2 zips, wipe dalvik, fix permissions in recovery and then open a terminal to launch a script to modify your build.prop. All good after that, and of course after flashing a new rom, rinse, lather and repeat.

Jet Audio is good, agreed too, but i like the skins options as well in PA. With jb roms, u almost have to use acid, or v4a, otherwise the volume is too low and doesn't have the enhancements, like Dolby/srs/and beats. With PA n Negas, it has those options in there. But you have to select the enhancements in a certain order.. Yeah all thst is too much for me to do, lol.. I like things ready outta the box. I also watch a lot of movies, using mx, and jb just cant keep up. But again, the jb rom devs do a helluva job, and they are fast..

Wanted to say i had switched ROMs a few times so my results wont be reliable however in a 31 day calendar almost at its end I've yet to get the early midway point harassing text from VM followed by a email , best bet is to try this and log in to ur Vm site from a PC and do regular checks on data usage since in your account settings from a PC on there homepage u can keep track of how much data uve used, and ur remaining b4 capped

Just wanted to be honest

Wanted to add my billings date is the 1st since we are pre paid we can all have different billing dates so saying 31 days at least gives u my start point

I've been torrenting large files over the past billing month and my phone's usage setting says I've used about 3.5 gb, but VM says I've only used 127.32 mb. I've used more than that on 3G alone.

Whbisondtr, I got it working on my VM branded Evo. So far I used a gig and my data status says ".56 MB"

Hey, keep me informed here! I wanna know how it goes for you, before I go and try it. If I can be unthrottled, that'd be AWESOME. Are you on 3G? All I have is 3G here.

((I'd use blurom if it didn't have a hideous theme..(my opinion) I want sharper graphics and green instead of blue, it'd be nice.))

Yeah it would be pretty cool if you could change the color of the theme I'd love to see that.

I was using 4g and wifi most of the time. I don't really know about 3g but I can try it.:thumb:

There is a red theme and another guy did a circuit theme, both at the links i posted in the other thread..

So I downloaded a 20MB app from the play store using 3g and it increased my data in my account. I don't know if the Sprint-branded is the same though.

Aw, that's a bummer. I wonder why 4G data isn't counting against your usage just because of sprint carrier files? Weird. Wish 4G was in my area, and i could ditch satellite.

Yeah i never tested 3g as i had 4g coverage, but i will sometime this week. I get free wifi now so ive been using that. 4g data should be registering tho too, and if its not, good deal.

Ok, i think, and correct me if im wrong, but i think mobster only makes vm roms. If thats the case, it wont work.

Mobster has a file you flash if you have a sprint phone to make the roms work.

The red theme has to be "earned," as per Negas post. Pm him over on his forum about it.
