Root [Kernel][Osiris][JB] Serenity kernel 3.4 OC

to be honest, I don't know anymore.
Keep in mind, you are benchmarking a kernel that is extremely new to android.
3.4 is the newest available

again with the app you lnked i can overclock to 1.8gz. i cant undervolt with any app. including voltage control. the app you linked will try to put voltage where i try but does nothing. it is the only app that at least tries though. omst dont do anything or even show voltage.

look forward to updates.

0.9c is great so far. Honestly, I have never seen the screen transition so smoothly on this device. Can UC to 61Mhz using Voltage Control app, but not sure how to lower the voltage lol. Great job and thanks downthemachine :)

edit: should mention that I have it set:
min. 122Mhz
max. 1401Mhz
i/o cfq
gov. ondemandX

mine is workign great other than undervolt. supplied app from dtm does let me know voltage but will not let me change voltage. so far a step up from last kernel.

settings
min: lowest you have set
max: 1.8ghz
i/o cfq
gov: ondemandx

no voltage control. but the smootest so far!

Well, I have some bad news. I haven't updated github in awhile, and my source was destroyed by a freak commit reverting accident, so, i'll be a little while before the next update, i'll have to go back, retrace everything, and make sure each change gets a commit on github :)

Bummer :(

Thanks again for your hard work. It makes this device so much better :)

Source is updated, kinda, everything kinda got slapped into 4 commits, the Sequent arrived today. Which lead me to looking way back to find a cwm img(didn't have any cd-r, nor a usb available).
I'm pure linux, the script everyone used, doesn't work. What ever happened to this:

adb reboot bootloader
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img

lol
For me that just seemed simple. :p
Anyways, i'll start putting more out on a regular basis now :)

I made an installable linux version of the cwm root flasher that includes cwm.img. It's posted at the bottom of the thread ;) Your way works too and it's the way i do it lol

edit: I think what happened to the fastboot command is windows. The driver issue is a pain.

Ya it didn't work in KDE. I use mint 14 KDE on my laptop for kernel stuff. Didn't even try mate 14 on the desktop :D
If you feel like providing more info over on the cwm flasher thread I would love to figure out why it didn't work in kde...because it should lol

edit: unless you don't have zenity...bet that's it
edit2: yep. kde uses kdialog instead so my app won't work...yet ;)

very close to the number i got with my benchmarks with antutu. i got a 6720, which is very respectable as far as the low end phones are concerned. (but to be honest, i dont trust benchmarks or even antutu)

Here's my antutu, for those that care. (Dropbox, public.) dont have a public pic host. sorry.

undervolt would help this a lot. it wouldnt help the benchmark number, but it would significantly help battery.

i should mention that my settings are as follows:

min: 61Mhz
max: 1516Mhz
gov: conservative
sched: sio

I just had this great idea, I've been playing with sequent for the last couple of days, surprisingly nice phone, anyways, I think i need to lower the voltages for the lower freqs. i'm testing some right now, and hopefully this will improve battery life.

i have cpu pro and voltage control... cpu control seems to be the dominant app as it is always giving feedback and it's icon is always on the pull down menu. lately though my phone has been turning off. the app was set to conservative but cpu pro keeps giving message on reboot about having the "set on boot" checked? should I uninstall all but one voltage control app and is there a preferred one? I haven't tried the incredicontrol app yet.

I have been experimenting with the different governors and schedulers and thought I would share what feels the best to me so far. I have not done any benchmarking so this is based on feel alone.

I am using Voltage Control, a free app on the play store.

I/O Scheduler - sio
CPU Governor - smartassV2
MIN - 122Mhz
MAX - 1401Mhz
