Hi,

There's something I don't understand.

I purchased 4 months ago a Galaxy S3 version SCH-R530M from METRO PCS and activated it for one month only.

Now, I lost the simcard, and I try to get a simcard but in every METROPCS stores, they told me the new simcard will not work in this phone because of changes (tmobile blend and I don't know what)

So finally, what can I do with my GALAXY S3 SCH R530M ????

Sorry but I'm a little angry, I spent my whole day in different metropcs stores and nobody give me a answer !

I wonder why they wouldn't give you a sim card that would work with the new network? All you have to do is update the PRL and it should work fine. I hate Metro pcs 's customer service. They never know what their talking about.

but the corporate store told me to try to find aauthorized dealer ? and when i go to an anthorized dealer they told me to go to a corporate !

Seriously how people who bought this phone do now ? Is the old simcard still working on this phone. My problem is I don't want to use tmobile network but metropcs network with my SCH-530M

goto corporate store and ask to speak to a manager..because this just makes no sense at all? so you lost your sim and they can't give you another because they don't have the "old" cdma sims anymore? im so confuzzled!

If they don't have the UICC cards anymore which is the SIM's for 4G/CDMA phones they can't just give you the other sims for the GSM phones the because those will not work. I didn't think they would stop carrying them so early.

they need to realize its not GSM, be sure to let them know it's not or you're probably gonna keep getting the run around.

yeah that doesn't sound right they them selves have said CDMA will still be here until 2015 and they are still selling CDMA 4g phones so they should still have them. Have you tried calling customer support or gone to their Facebook page about it? Im sure one of them can find a way to get you one even if they would have to mail it to you.

even if you get a used one, it can be provisioned to your device.

How one loses a UICC card is beyond me. It's not the same as an AT&T phone where you can just throw your card into a different phone and it will work. Some, if not most Metro phones have (4G UICC) cards that are branded to the phone they came with, so I wonder why I see quite a few people losing their cards  Why bother to remove it?

My suggestion would be to sell it as a parts phone if you can't find a dealer/store to assign you another one, if it can even be done :( Just make it as little of a loss as possible, I'm sure somebody out there is willing to pay some good cash for a new case and display, right? Or donate it to the Hulk LOL...
