Root A really awkward problem

So, about a year ago I purchased the HTC EVO V 4G. I love it, the problem is, it is all broken and stuff.

In that time, I gave my mom my old Optimus V. Now I need that back since she bought a Kyocera phone. The problem here is - the Optimus V is rooted and had a rom flashed, and does not have the original SD card. So I need to figure out how to get this functioning again. I have my Evo V 4G SD card, (that phone wasn't rooted) and an OV with pretty much literally nothing on it.

Its been a while since I have been in the root and rom flashing scene, so if anyone has a solution, can you give me some help??

Thank you!

The sd card will work no problem. The pictures in the DCIM folder, no problem. The app folders, ?. Depends on if the app will work with the V.
Backup you data from the sd card to your computer.

If the V is rooted I would install the ZenGarden recovery and the MiRaGE ROM.
After flashing the MiRaGe ROM and rebooting it a couple of times I would set the CPU to 768MHz max and 480MHz min. Then flash the entropy_n_rngd-tool.

The V lacks internal storage space so I would partition the sd card (only if 8GB or more) and format the partition to ext.4. All this can be done with the ZenGarden recovery.

Then install Link2Sd and create links to everything but widget apps and the PlayStore.

Go to the All Things Root sub-forum (scroll down to bottom of this forum for link)/All Things Root Guide sticky.
All the info you need is in there, listed under their perspective sections. Example;
Guides:
"How to install a flash_image; flash a recovery, ROM, and theme".
"Link2SD: A Tutorial- New and Updated".

Tweaks:
entropy_n_rngd-tool

If you have any problem with links let me know.

So I should download the ZenGarden recovery and MiRaGE ROM and flash both? I know I flash the ROM, but what about the recovery? I was planning on just putting everything from my SD card onto my computer for the time being, and start fresh. It's 8GB. That will restore me to a basic device with nearly nothing on it right? From there I will figure out the Link2SD but I want tomake sure I got all of the previous down.

"Here's the rest of the story". Lol.
Ok. You have a major problem on your hands.
First try the zipped version of Xionia recovery. Put on the sd card, but not in any folder (this should be the root directory- /sdcard).
leave it zipped.
Put the MiRaGe ROM and Gapps in the same place (leave them zipped).
Go to your recovery menu and wipe and format everything but the sd card (formatting wipes). Format options are in the mounts and storage section.
Don't forget to wipe the dalvik cache. It's in the advanced section.

Now flash recovery zip like a ROM.
When finished, go to the advanced section and select to reboot recovery (it will now boot into Xionia).
In Xionia go to the advanced section and choose the "fix recovery loop" option. Now flash the ROM and Gapps.

If still stuck let me know.
