Hi All,
New to the site (first post)! and like what I see!

I am new to smartphones and finding my way round my Experia Tipo.

I have quite an extensive music collection on my PC as WMA and WAV files which I copied to my micro SD card in the phone.
Initially I could play them but I am finding more and more are becoming unplayable?

Anyone any ideas whats goimg wrong?

Very strange. Maybe Sony only have a trial license for the Microsoft CODEC :D

Could either be a dodgy SD card or a CODEC problem.

To check if it's the card, try copying one of the original files from the PC (assuming the SD version is corrupt) to phone storage and see if the problem recurs.

If the SD card is not the problem then you could use something like Windows Media Player on your PC to save the files in a different format like MP3 or MP4 - you phone should definitely support those formats ..

An update! Visited store where the phone came from but they had no idea.
It seems the phone doesn't like WMA files!
So as I am going away in a few days I have converted the Windows files to MP3, and they all play fine! I not sure of the bitrate used in the conversion as the files seem to have lost some quality but at least they all play!
