Root [ROM] Mobster Remix - 07/18/13 only 265 MB

IM BAAAAAAAAAAAAACK! :D

Just letting you know, the AVG app on android detects this ROM along with Unlocked potential, As malware. I am talking about the ROM zips themselves.

Any ideas?

Weird..... I'm not sure why it would say that  maybe because of the Su Binary? Its needed for root and gives system level access so that might be it.

I don't have AVG on my phone but my wife does on hers (unrooted) and she has some weird things come up from time to time as malware that obviously aren't, especially some apps that maybe got interrupted during a download or who knows.

Just a wild guess but both ROMs are hosted on Google Docs which throws up that caution warning from Google saying the files are too large to be scanned, think something is transferring then since Google Docs can't scan them for threats that's feeding to AVG to pop up the malware trigger?

I definitely dont think there is any malware in these ROMs. I was just letting you all know that it shows as malware under AVG. I believe it is a false positive myself. I just dont know what would be triggering the flag.

AVG has become somewhat unreliable lately. I mean they are definitely safe, But the false positives all over are getting annoying, And then trying to figure out what is actually safe and what isnt drives me nuts.

Don't use anti-virus on Android. Especially of you're using roms. AVG is dumb and so are many other anti-virus apps. They are like our overprotective Asian parents. :p They will think roms are malware because of the Su binary and other things developers include, like tweaks and special apks.

Antivirus software is only useful on Windows anyway.

So my Navigation (GPS) App disappeared from my apps. On my phone and my brother's. Any reason why this happens? I try to look for it on the marketplace but you cant find it. I know its part of GAPPS but does that mean I have to flash a GAPPS.zip from somewhere? Normally its included in the ROM file and it was working fine a few weeks back. Its just gone from my phone.

Try to wipe cache and dalvik in recovery but keep data. Then dirty flash the ROM to get your missing GAPPS back.

Question. I am having some dropped call issues and SMS send errors. Everything I read says to update the Profile and PRL.

How do you do this with this OS or any ROM and is it even necessary? I am asking you guys since you code/program and know if it even helps.
Thanks.

Just asking again if it got looked over. Thanks.
Also I play Jurassic Park Builder most of the time I have to uninstall it and reinstall it before I can play it. Is this the game or the OS? Thanks again.
