Galaxy Note 10.1 or ASUS TF700

I have an asus tf700 that i purchased earlier this year and have had lag problems ever since. I've done various cold boots, a factory reset, disabled apps, and messed with developer options. I haven't rooted the device or anything yet, but I'm not really sure I want to do that. I've heard of other people going that route and still having problems with it.

I'm wondering if there is anyone else on here that had a tf700 with lag and decided to get rid of it and get a galaxy note 10.1 . I really want to have a tablet that I can multitask on - mostly for business and internet browsing. I don't watch a ton of movies or listen to music so i'm concerned about having the best possible resolution. I just need something that opens apps quickly, loads web pages quickly and doesn't freeze up.

If you have a galaxy note 10.1, how is it better than the tf700?

Thanks

So you had a tf700 initially and went through the same lag problems? What made you switch to the note 10.1 rather than the other tablets out there. Do you see any of the lag problems with the note 10.1? Is there anything that you miss about the tf700?

I have a motorola razr maxx HD and i feel like that phone works way better than the tf700. It's smooth, fast and the internet opens without crashing. The tf700 seems to be slower in every way.

I have the galaxy note 2 phone and love it! The natural progression for me was the note 10.1 tablet. The note 10.1 functions as smooth as my family members ipads. I miss nothing about the tf700 other than my $500 or whatever I threw out the window for nothing!!!

I have the Transformer Prime(TF201) and the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1

The transformer suffers from the same lag they all do.
I cleaned it up and installed a different launcher but it would lag again after a little while.

I wanted something to take a 64GB card(guaranteed, unlike the Tab 2), fast, nice screen

So I bought the Note 10.1 yesterday and, so far, it seems to be a combination of the best bits of both the other tablets.
Quad core means it's as fast(if not faster) than the Prime
I plugged my 64GB card in(complete with 59GB music library) and it just works
The screen is simply a joy to use
Very responsive
Added bonus of 2GB RAM
And I havent even explored the S-Pen capabilities yet.

My Prime and Tab 2 are now on Ebay

Another little gem I bought is a Verbatim Mediashare Wireless adapter.
It allows me to access my 2TB USB3.0 HDD wirelessly as it contains all my movies, pics, etc.

Having a 4000x2500 res screen isn't important to me. If I want to watch an HD movie, I'd watch it on my HD 42" TV, not on a 10" screen;)

Mine has a microSD card slot, does that mean I've got the new one?
Only bought it yesterday

The Note 10.1 is IMO he best Android tablet on the market right now. When the new version comes out with Micro USB instead of the custom connector, it will be unmatched in power and usability (provided that the huge screen resolution does not slow it down ccompared to the current iteration).
