If you're looking for an idea of what smartphone to use on Page Plus, this is what most people are using:

Motorola Droid 1
Motorola Droid 2
Motorola Droid 3
Motorola Droid Pro
Motorola Droid X
Motorola Droid X2
HTC Droid Incredible
HTC Droid Incredible 2
Samsung Fascinate (Galaxy S)

In fact, if you go here, you can get more info on several phones that will work on Page Plus. And you can see the average price for a good used one on EBAY. USED PHONE PRICE GUIDE

I'm in communication with a guy that's using a Droid RAZR on PPC. He claims everything is working (3G).

How is it that some Verizon phones like my annoying Samsung Fascinate and my pal's reliable Moto Droid work great on PPC, without mods or being 'flashed', and others (maybe 4G) all I hear is flash, partial flash, etc.?

My Samsung Fascinate is driving me crazy with all the lock ups & battery-out restarts necessary, so I'm going to a Moto Droid Razer or another really new, bug-free phone.

My understanding is that any 4G phone (including the Droid Razr) has to be flashed to work on Page Plus. I've also read that if the phone receives an OTA update, that it will quit working, and have to be re-flashed. I've personally stayed away from the 4G phones.

The HTC Droid Incredible 2 is a fantastic phone for Page Plus (likely my next one). Also the Droid 3 or Droid X2.

I just added a HTC Evo 4G. It was flashed at my Local One Stop Wireless store . Everything works good. Except the 3G. I have a 3G Icon but my speeds seem to be 1x. My Speedtest Says 1xRTT I think it's misconfiged, but they say no. All my Proxy type settings Still show as Spintpcs. I think that might have something to do with it.

I have the htc inc2 for 3 months and it is a nice phone but my email and internet won't connect to my home wifi from frontier.com. It works great on 3g and all open wifi's.

Thanks to all for looking at my problem. No matter what people say about frontier.com they treated me great. They told me my modem still could be bad even though it says connected and worked with all my wireless devices except the HTC Inc2. I switched from netgear 7500 to netgear 7550 and behold everything works. I hope this will answer some other people's internet problems.

I have two 4G phones converted from Verizon to Page Plus Wireless.
Both these phones work great on PP Wireless. Internet, voice, text, GPS, etc.
LG Lucid (VS840)
Samsung Galaxy Stellar (SCH-I20)

I am a new smart phone user, so I don't know what I am missing with 4G.
I don't browse much unless I have a local Wi-Fi connection.
But I think I am getting 1G. (0.23 Mbps Download, 0.17 Mbps Upload.)
I'm happy. Works for GPS great. Mobile Email and Mobile Facebook.

TIP: Make sure Global data roaming is ON. Allow access for all trips
After flash make these settings:
Settings
more (Under Wireless & Networks)
Mobile Networks
Global data roaming access
Global data roaming (TURN ON)
Global data roaming
Allow access
For all Trips (TURN ON)

If anyone knows how I can change my settings to get 3G that would be nice.
Swapped out Lucid battery for extended life battery and life is good!

Yes this is true, any 4g phone would have to be flashed to run on pageplus. All the phones I have ever sold are just 3g they run perfect and provide great service in my area. I have a buddy that is currently putting an Iphone 5 on pageplus. I will update once he is done. He will definately have to flash it to work. He won't be able just to dial *228 to get it to work.

Based on this thread and others I've read, it seems that I should be able to use the Droid X I bought through Verizon (and have used on Verizon since) two years ago - and with no modifications. Port my number, get my plan and go. Does that sound right?

Jenny

Yes that's right, I have an x & x2 on pageplus. Everything worked with a simple activation.
