Root [Virgin Mobile] Low antu score

Don't feel bad. My score is 15521

Benchmarking really is just a number used for bragging rights. If the phone is responsive enough for your needs and runs smooth performing day to day tasks I wouldn't worry about the score.

Did you notice in the benchmark results that our device is a beast at 3D graphics when compared to the Galaxy S3 and Galaxy S4? It's on par with the Nexus 10 in that department :D

Guys keep in mind that antutu is comparing our phones to the quad core variant of the S3 (I9300). Second, scores very much matter it has helped me choose and better optimize my ROMs on my other devices. I get 16721 average on my S3 which could be better if we could OC...

BTW a score 10000 or so is horrid for an S3 considering I get higher scores on the S2 and Victory...

Edit: Looking deeper into it, scores also vary depending on which version of antutu you have. I've only used antutu v4 on the S3 and normal scores should be around 15k for a stock SPH-L710. I remember scores would vary wildly every other release of antutu v3 on my other devices.

Back when the some of my devices were in their prime there were many people building ROMs left and right and benchmarks came in handy. I know they work because my brothers and I always buy the same phones and we would compare ROMs using benchmarks and some ROMs definitely impacted performance. Everybody always claims their ROMs, tweaks, and mods improve performance, but there were many times where they were just flat out wrong. They come in handy when I'm overclocking for the first time and they help spot throttling and bottlenecking, they can be fun to use.

yes it is a beast 3d graphics I saw that too.. My girlfriend has an Atrix 2 and it just ran a couple thousand below my brand new Galaxy s3. I was very discouraged but I realize this phone as a day to day driver.. stock even.. more than suits my needs ..still.. I'm going to get it rooted ASAP. I had an Optimus V forever so this is like being in heaven. It runs emulators wonderfully especially N64 games. And multiplayer bluetooth Mortal Kombat 2 on SNESoid is awesome. Looking forward to development springing up and continuing.. However I regret buying XDA premium app because it seems like all of the development for our phone is here lol:rolleyes:
