Anyone Have this phone?

Just got mine a couple of days ago and have to say I love it so far. It's super smooth and very responsive. I put nova launcher over top of LG's suspect UI, and the phone is still buttery smooth. The only thing I wish they would have done was made it a bit lighter wait wise. If you are thinking of picking it up I say go for it

Were you able to customize the color of the notification LED? Thanks in advance.

To be honest I haven't really played around with the LED, Never really payed attention to it on any phone I've had anyway. But the soft keys at the bottum and the lock button are a nice blue color which I thought would turn me off at first but fits the ICS software nicely IMO.

I got mine a few days ago, so far so good.

I bought it mostly because of the camera, and that is exceeding my expectations. Crisp detail at full resolution, very fast response even in low light, flash does its job (although it is blinding if someone points it at you). Videos look very good, and the sound is actually great. I can't post anything yet because I'm new on the forum but I'll put something up as soon as I can.

THE ONLY PROBLEM:

I haven't been able to get a mobile hotspot running. I imagine that someone will add support for this phone into FoxFi or something similar eventually, but if anyone has any suggestions I would appreciate it.

Oh, and it gobbles batteries but I guess that is to be expected.

Just got it in this morning! Woot! It'd be nice to have root access to clean up some of the VZW bloat, but for the time being I installed Nova launcher and I'm just using that to hide the apps from my drawer. A few impressions:

-This thing is FAST! Coming from a Samsung Fascinate, it's like night and day.

-The scrolling is a bit wonky feeling. I'm not sure if that's default ICS or LG's modification, but it's got a very floaty feel to it. It's not bad, but it is different.

-So far, the reception is spot on. My Fascinate bounced around a lot inside my house, but thus far the Spectrum 2 hasn't had anything less than 3 bars showing, and it seems to pick up my WiFi signal with just as much ease.

Played with it all day yesterday, and I continue to be impressed. I had heard bad things about the battery life, but I haven't seen any merit to the worries. My Fascinate would lose 5%/hour in standby, but with the Spectrum 2 I went from 12 AM to about 2:30 AM in standby without losing anything. Screen usage eats battery, naturally, but again it's a slower drain than any other smartphone I've ever owned.

I own a Spectrum and it's a nice phone but it took forever to get ICS and I'm sure it's going to take forever to get Jelly Bean on the Spec 2. I'm actually thinking about dumping my Spec and paying full price for a HTC Droid DNA because I'm sick of LG and all their crap. Just one mans opinion :D

You know, that's a legitimate worry, but after being an Android user for more than 2 years now, I've stopped getting my hopes up about developer support after release, especially being on Verizon. Even the Galaxy Nexus had delayed updates, and it runs a frickin' Vanilla version of Android.

I haven't looked but is the spec 2 on the JB update list?

Same problem plagued the Spectrum 1 w/ ICS update. Looks like it is still broken.
At least FoxFi bluetooth tethering works, but wifi hotspot does not.

In contrast, I am very very happy with the battery life of my Spectrum 2 in comparison to my Spectrum 1 and my HTC Thunderbolt. Much much better.

Yep, just got it yesterday. So smooth. Camera is excellent and I love the multiple shot before and after you actually take a photo, gives you an option to choose a photo. It is a bit heavier than my wife's S3, but its pretty comparable. Plus I got mine for free, so I cant complain much :) Gonna start rooting it and whatnot, not sure about the led color up front, if I find something, ill post.
