So I was trying to root my Galaxy S2 phone because I heard you could do some pretty useful stuff!!
So I followed the cnet (can't find the link) tutorial, i downloaded a insecure kernel and flashed it with odin and voila... when i tried to start it (with the on button) it came up with the boot screen saying "samsung galaxy s2 gt-i9100" etc etc and underneath there was a yellow triangle (the tut said that would happen)
So i left it like that and went away to do something else and when i came back it was still like that. So i followed some tutorials on how to fix it and apparently i'd downloaded a kernel for gingerbread (i think, im still not sure) so i tryed to download a gingerbread rom (again, I've no idea what i was downloading for what kernel) and i tryed to flash it with odin but it seemed to freeze when it said formatting (on odin)
I left it like that for about half a hour and it didn't budge so i removed the battery out the phone.
The the message on the phone said to connect to kies to a emergency firmware recovery so i tried that and it stopped again and came up with a error message on the computer.
SO THEN i tried downloading a few different kernels and flashing them. I tried one called jeboo and a sirya one and another unsecure one but nothing worked (either came up with a yellow triangle or a "connect to kies") and so here i am. So my question is... how do i fix it?? I was wondering if theres a way to remove EVERYTHING (rom, kernel, all system stuff) and then install a rom and kernel and everything else i need. its not on warranty so i cant send it in to samsung. If anybody has experienced this and managed to fix it on there own please tell me how you did it or if anybody has any knowledge on what's gone wrong please HELP!! (congrats if you've made it this far and understand it)
THANKS IN ADVANCE!!
