[ROM][BETA] CyanogenMod 10 for the LG Lucid

Hi all and thank you stcarlso!

I followed wiisixtyfours instructions on how to flash CM10 and have got everything working and looking great. Just want to make sure I have it as updated as it can be. So far I started out by downgrading to GB using ZV5 used the most recent B3 and gaaps files.

Is this as updated as I can be? I seen some people talking about V8 baseband should I update to this if so how and where is the file?

Thanks

yeah thats in the op somewhere, you should get it too

I've had it on my phone for quite some time now. Only problem with it is the occasional lockup - black screen and pressing the power button does nothing. Have to pull the battery and then it sometimes hangs on the CM10 screen (screen turns off and 15 to 20 minutes later the CM10 screen is still on - another battery pull) sometimes it takes two or three battery pulls to finally get it to start. It loves to hang occasionally when you remove apps and sometimes when turning bluetooth on (I just leave it on now but on a reboot I have to be sure there are no bluetooth items on in range or it will sometimes hang on the animation screen again).... Just wondering how progression is going on the updates as I haven't been on here for awhile....

I've followed the instructions from wiisixtyfour to flash GB, root the phone and install CWM Recovery. But now when I try to flash CM with CWM it says:

Waiting for SD card to mount (20s)
Waiting for SD card to mount (19s)
...
Timed out waiting for SD card...
Continuing anyways. Verifying SD Card marker...
SD Card marker not found...
Error processing ROM Manager Script.

I'm using the internal SD card and not the external one. Could that be the problem? I've already formatted everything and done a factory reset. Also I can access /sdcard from Root Browser. Any ideas how to fix this?

Just opened ROM Manager now and it said that I needed to mount SD Card for it to work. It didn't say that before...

The CWM we are using was ported from a device that had no internal sdcard, therefore an external sdcard is required to use CWM. I would suggest using a class 10 rather than a class 6 sdcard, I have had various issues with every class 6 sdcard I put in my Lucid, but not 1 issue with the class 10 sdcard from Samsung.

I have a similar problem. If I reboot the phone, it gets stuck on the cyanogenmod logo. The only way to workaround the issue is to wipe cache every time I reboot.

Has anyone had any overheating problems? On my phone if I play a game, or use the GPS, or just charging it while it is on, it will get really hot and if it gets too hot it just shuts off. It's rather inconvenient when using GPS and it turns of so I am no longer being directed.
I am using B2 and i set minimum clock speed to 384 MHz to prevent the Sleep of Death, and maximum clock to 1188 MHz. Not sure why it keeps happening, whether its the ROM or just my phone.

If you put your phone in airplane mode before you reboot you will not hang on the spinning cyanogenmod logo. If your device reboots without being in airplane mode just wait a few minutes and turn your phone sideways and you should be able to press the airplane. Once hightlited press and hold the power button and volume down until the phone shuts down. Boot should now be normal, turn off airplane mode when completed.

I have this issue on b3 with upgraded baseband. The reboots occur regardless of maximum clock speed. GPS is where I notice it the most - hasn't happened at all otherwise.

Is it a known issue that even the v8 radio within this rom doesn't get as good a signal as the stock ICS rom?

I suspect that this is the case but cannot yet track it down to a cause or fix. It's possible that CM10 just underreports the signal strength. But given the other RIL problems with the LG blobs, I smell an issue.

CM10.1 still has no screen but I can finally use android screen cast to debug. Once I fix it I can test the service quality and see if it improves.

My phone reboots on GPS usually. It usually waits until I'm 5 miles away and turns off lol.

I used a friend's micro sd card to flash CM10. But I'm having a few issues. When I go to phone info, it doesn't know my number. When I try to take a picture, it says that I need to insert an SD card. I can't get Apollo to find my music on the internal SD card, though it will play one song at a time if I select it from the file manager.
One other thing I was wondering is, what replaces the play store?

Thanks in advance.

I also can't download files from the browser, but that seems like part of an already mentioned issue
