Root [Virgin Mobile] MidnightRom:GS3 JB 1.0.4 9/1/2013 Supercharged stock

Did you guys do a full wipe or did you update?
I did a full wipe and I've been running this ROM the past few days with no problems. My up time is at 95 hours, so no random reboots for me. I haven't really felt like it's slower. The call echo is the only thing I don't like, it's completely unnecessary.

I did a full wipe, I never do dirty flashes, I actually have three S3s on me ATM since I'm also rooting and making a clean ROM for me and my brothers to use. and the one with this ROM suffers from slower data speeds and the occasional slowdown in UI and in games by comparion to stock and the ROM created by punkmaxx. The only other real difference is that the phone using this ROM has the MD7 baseband and MG2 build number while the other two have MG2 basebands and builds...

hmm, my baseband never changed and I did the update on both stock and punkmaxx's. My settings still said I had MD7. I'd love to have/try the newer radio, but I can't seem to get it.

Cool thanks. I'll try it when I have time to go back to stock.

I went back to punkmaxx's slim rom and I've got to say, I can see why people were saying midnightrom felt slow. My phone feels a lot faster now that I'm off midnightrom and I have no slow downs during games. I can't say anything about data speeds.
I mean midnightrom is great and everything seemed to be working, but there's a few deal breakers...

I had the Evo V a while back and I don't think those were actually senseless but rather just used a different third party launcher along with some system icon changes.
How do you find the performance if you compare the Evo V 4G Vs SIII when both are running mignight rom? I was going to maybe get the SII but, I can't find one local to me anywhere so now am looking at the SIII but some people are saying that they perform close to one another in real world performance. I would just like to get an opinion from some one that uses the same roms as I do or would.

Hardware wise the differences are massive, cpu/gpu architecture, cameras, battery, ram, screens, design, reception, call quality, 4G, UI, all favor the newer S3. All of that is reflected in the "real world" experiences I've had with the two phones. I can watch netflix on 4G LTE without any problems at the park, where i couldn't even dream of doing that on the EVO and wimax. I found it easier to reference my textbooks and work on papers on my S3 because the screen is way sharper and better on the eyes. The S3 camera is the best I've ever tried on a smartphone. RAM and internal storage on the S3 are so plentiful, that I don't ever have to worry about cutting back on apps, or managing my RAM. The S3 is the only phone where haven't had to compromise on any features, or one that had any pesky faults hardware or software wise.

Don't forget about the battery life too. It seems like the SIII is better at managing battery drain than the SII. Or is the battery capacity actually bigger? Either way, I'm just going from my personal experiences since I have the SIII and my mom has an SII.
