Where are the cases?

This is the closest to a heavy duty case I could find ATM (available @AT&T for pre-order):

Body Glove Silver Icon Hybrid 2 gel/shell pack - LG G2

AMAZON also has a few cases, including a TPU Case, which isn't too expensive, but, should provide a decent amount of procection, until a more rugged case is available:

Amazon.com: Hyperion LG Optimus G2 Flexible TPU Case & Screen Protector (Cover Compatible with LG Optimus G2 LG-D803 / At&t LG Optimus G2) **Hyperion Retail Packaging** [2 Year Warranty] (Clear): Cell Phones & Accessories

It would be easier for us Verizon G2 owners if the buttons on the back were the same as the AT&T and Sprint model. Most of the cases I see are for the non-Verizon phones.

I didn't realize the VZW version was that much different, other than the negligible(?) thickness difference due to the wireless charging.

It's always something.I'm hoping the VZW owners don't have to pay a premium for their accessories/cases due to the exclusivity.

Anyone got a side by side photo comparison of the VZW & non-VZW G2's?

I believe the thickness difference is minimal but the volume rocker/power button on the Verizon model is completely different than the others. Maybe you can use a non-Verizon specific case but the space around the volume would be bigger.

I wish the Verizon model had the same volume/power button as the others. A little small for me.

I don't like that it's different for Verizon though still not a deal breaker for me.

The only problem with the tpu case is it doesn't protect the lens or the buttons,I liked the defender case on my bionic cause the clip went over the back of the phone when I put out on my belt while working, and it had the additional screen protection, unfortunately it doesn't look like otterbox plans on making any cases in the near future

I just got this statement from DIZTRONIC regarding compatibility of their cases w/the VZW & non-VZW models of the G2:

Dear Customer,

If you own the Verizon model of the LG G2 and have pre-ordered our LG G2
case please read below. If you own any other carriers LG G2 you can
ignore this email and we will ship your order on Tuesday, Sept 17th, 2013.

On Sept 16th we were able to test our LG G2 cases on the Verizon model.
While they do technically fit, it's not perfect around the camera area.
As such, we cannot recommend this case to Verizon customers and will be
making a Verizon specific model in the coming weeks. It should be ready
in approximately 21 days and we will begin taking pre-orders for it the
middle of next week.

If you own the Verizon model of the LG G2 and would like to cancel your
order please reply to this email in the next 24 hours. If we do not hear
from you by then, your order will ship out Tuesday afternoon. If this
email doesn't reach you in time and your order has already shipped,
please leave the package unopened and write "Return To Sender" on the
outside of the package and place it back in your outgoing mail. As soon
as we receive it a full refund will be issued.

Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience,

Clay

Thanks for the feeback from Diztronic Kolio. I used their case on my Gnex since near day one and loved it. Minimalistic, fair price, quality look. All wins.

Anybody who has the vzw gel tpu...how soft is that case? Like the super soft almost sticky type of stuff that grabs in your pocket? Or more Diztronic like where it's quite pliable still but more of a slick material that glides in and out of pockets.

Same here. Love the diztronic Tpu case on my gnex. Glad to hear they're making a Verizon specific version for the g2. Will be pre-ordering.

As for the standard issue Verizon tpu cases, yes they're slick and not tacky, but they're glossy and man are they fingerprint magnets. Had one on my Incredible.

This is a good looking case. I wonder how much of the front bezel will cover up the beautiful screen; hopefully not much if at all. But it would have to pretty darn thin to not cover up some of the screen.

Amazon.com: Diztronic Matte Back Black Flexible TPU Case for LG G2 (All carriers except Verizon) Retail Packaging: Cell Phones & Accessories

Looking @the pix,it appears to have a very low profile on the front side,w/just enough protection to lay the phone face-down w/o risk to damaging the screen.

I'd say they nailed it........
