tab3 8 instead of n7?!

hi all,

was all set to get new n7, but suddenly decided
I actually prefer the look of the tab 3 8in... am I mad!? :-\

how do you all rate it?

I'm toying between those 2 tabs as well - the 7 inch nexus just seems a bit too small but the galaxy tab hasn't really specs that are that much better than the tab 7.7 that I've had for the last year

ah i see. yes the spec isn't the best, and not much point in getting it if you already have a 7in one already

Had an original N7 16gb for a year. Used it a lot and liked it. But, it got laggy when memory available got down to around 4-5gb. I also found I needed a lot more storage for my photos on the road.

Now have a Tab 3 8.0 32gb + 64gb SD. The screen size is larger, but tablet is still compact, light and portable. Plus, nice screen quality, rear camera, decent sound from dual speakers and very good battery life. I was not even tempted by the new N7.

How do you intend to use your 7 or 8" tablet?

yes screen is very good isn't it

mainly going to use it for internet and catch up tv. but just found out that bbc iplayer doesn't download yet on tab 3 :-(
but viewed my first program streaming last night and worked well.
