I have a large collection of mp3 music on my hard drives, a small amount of which I've transferred to my tablet for listening. I've tried listening to them in the built-in player, Google Music, as well as Winamp (I'm partial to because I've used it for years), but there are random skips in playback, like an old-time record player. Sound quality is fine, aside from the skipping. Playback on my laptop for the same mp3 are perfectly fine.

My AsusTF300TL is stock, unrooted, and updated to the latest Jelly Bean OS. Anyone have any idea what could be the problem and how I might fix it?
