I've tried every app that even resembles a wifi tether solution and nothing works. People are even trying to decompile and modify and still no love at this time. There seems to be a deeper rooted issue that we haven't stumbled across yet and until we do, I'm thinking finding that one already existing magic app isn't going to happen. :(

But the good news is, quite a few people are looking into it. I've heard some of the solutions that utilize bluetooth are working as a possible temp solution if that interests you.

That is just a widget for Verizon's Hotspot. This does nothing for anyone, as it's not a 3rd party app that actually provides tethering or hotspot functionality. But thanks though.

That is correct, but the beautiful thing is that it bypasses the carrier check. So you can use it even if you are on a grandfathered unlimited plan without paying extra for tethering.

Tethering issue solved in the XDA LG G2 Android Development Forum, 'Mobile Hotspot modded to skip provisioning check (VZW)'. Won't let me paste a link. Only thing is you must be rooted to take advantage

Mobile Hotspot modded to skip provisioning check (VZW) - xda-developers

I've used it a few times today. Looking good! I did get one random "lg hotspot" something or other related fail popup when doing something totally unrelated to tether. But anyway, we'll see how it goes.
