Hi everyone,

Im in the need of some rooting help! My phone became corrupt and very slow and lost google play and services not really fussed on that as ive set my email, facebook etc as bookmarks! It just means downloading apps is very difficult as my phone will not function om the google playstore so I did do a factory reset which didnt resolve the problem.

Originally i had gingerbread 2.3.6 rooted but when i formatted my phone the file must have been wiped! So i have tried to redownload the root file but my phone is refusing too download .zip files

Does anyone have the actual file rather than in .zip format? Also what is latest firmware and is it worth upgrading i.e what is the difference! Does anyone have that info/file.

Should the s5570 be able to download .zip files?

Thanks in advance for any help given!!

Sorry asking for so much help on my 2nd post i will gladly return help if i know the answer.

hi, if you did a nandroid back-up you can flash with cwm recovery & you can check for latest firmware for your country at sammobile or with kies if fone not rooted anymore.

If by "upgrade" you mean flashing custom rom then that is a personal choice but there are a lot of good ones out there that can help to improve our basic phone.

always follow instructions carefully.

Thanks beerwolf for the information unfortunatley my computer is unfixable so getting a new one. Is there a gingerbread 2.3.6 root file non zip that someone could post so i could re-root my phone as i need too totally remove google play and another app as its stopped working.

Desperate for the root file but just the file not in a compressed format.
Thanks
