32GB sd card from 16GB?

My luck, I tried but got nowhere lol It's something i'm missing I'm sure.. Edit I plugged in the 32gb card into the slot. Then plugged in my phone. went into computer & saw both but not able to drag & drop the 16gb card contents into the 32gb card..

Did you open them both on the PC then just select all the files in the 16gig and drag them over to the 32gig? You could also just use the adapter twice. Copy them to your desktop, change the card, then copy the files from the desktop back..

Some computers do not play nice with the adapters (none of mine will work with any adapter i own). Just put the 16g card into the phone, plug in the phone to the computer. It should pop up with a dialog box that shows two directories. One listed as phone and one as card. Copy everything in the card directory onto your computer desktop. Once everything is transferred turn off the phone, install the 32g card and turn the phone back on. As part of the mounting process (remember android is just a modified version of Linux) the phone will format it if necessary and then plug the phone into the computer and then just move the files back... You can then take the files on the desktop and archive them as backup of the phone external card. If you use text messing a lot you may also consider downloading a program called "SMS Backup & Restore" from the play store. It is free but does a great job. This will let you backup your text messages to the phone or the card. What ever you want. Good luck.
