Xperia V need tips

Hi! I just bought a Xperia V (2nd hand)

Can you give me tips on how to save battery life?
I tried to:
Lower brightness
Disabled all connections like Wifi, bluetooth, etc. (except SMS and calling)
Disabled weather widget

And do you think I should reset my phone? I mean there are a lot of apps i don't know.
