i know this is an Android forum but this is the Lounge, and there are iOS users here. despite people saying you can NEVER downgrade iOS 7 to 6, they are WRONG.

The key is to remove iTunes 11 on your desktop or laptop computer, and reinstall iTunes 10.7 (from oldapps.com or some old software archive). then put your iPad/iPhone/iPod touch into DFU mode or recovery mode. then connect it to iTunes via the cable. iTunes will report an iDevice in recovery/DFU mode and attempt to download the 'most up-to-date software'. since you're using iTunes 10 now, that most up-to-date ends up being iOS 6.1.3, and it begins downloading. this might take awhile. my computer is reporting it taking 13 hours (it's a couple gigs). i'll let you know if it is successful

honestly, the tie-in with Microsoft isn't the source of the hate. some have actually moved to WP because of iOS7's appearance. the two biggest issues are lag and motion sickness due to parallax.

messing with non-updated apps, deleting folders, accessibility settings, and a different browser, i managed to hide a lot of the look of iOS7 and it looks a lot like iOS 6 now, with the exception of the double-sized frosted glass dockbar, which won't vanish no matter what i do--i tried deleting all icons from it and it stays.

Given how much i love voice control, i am not very happy with how Siri now takes up the entire screen. before, she'd only pop up dialog-style and not interrupt what you were currently doing.

FYI, using a third-party browser (in my case, Photon) that is still not yet updated for iOS 7, it remains in the default skeuomorphic UI and the older iOS6 keyboard is used vs. the oversized whitespace UI and larger than life keyboard.

the problem is that like Facebook changes, people seem to get initially upset, then eventually adapt and are quiet--so nothing ever changes. they really don't have to downgrade, but allow a 'classic' theme option.

Nahhh its a downgrade the store told him to do something .first they told him to turn down the display. He said no they told him what to do .

This is why I'm happy with my Nexus. Stock UI, customizable, no cartoonish look.

Except for Play Store, Play Music, Gmail, Books, etc. Android 5.0 may be closer to iOS 7. Let's face it, flat UI is taking over. So far it's the default UI for Google Chrome apps, much of Android, my Harmony Touch remote, my smart tv, and now my iDevices

Yeah kinda found that one out the hard way. Although with a few small tweaks iOS 7 ain't that bad, at least not on the iPhone. ipad still too big though. Dock too big, icons too big, had to hide the cartoon icons in a folder on a way off screen to not have them display. Winter deer wallpaper matches the rest of the UI so my theme remains intact.

Although I'm not seeing the battery life problems people seem to report. The battery seems to last forever compared to the duration of iOS 6. My iPad would go for 8-10 and now lasts longer than 12 in constant use. iPhone same. Charging time is extremely short.
