Just got my Nexus 4. Haven't had a chance to play with it yet, but I love how smoothly it runs in comparison to my One X running Jelly Bean. I'm very big on fluidity and beauty after owning a Lumia 900 for so long. Anyhow, after owning an HTC One X and dealing with it's glitches, I didn't want to deal with Android again, but I'm giving this device a shot. I really hope this one works out - it's a real beauty.

Yeah, it's amazing how much adding custom frameworks and skins slows down android. This is one of the reason some of us refuse to use anything other than stock android.
After (I think) 3-4 years of owning a HTC Desire, which has served me well, I ordered a Nexus 4 last night!!!!!!!!!!! WHOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOO :smokingsomb:

just placed the order for a 16GB
2day shipping... I don't like waiting too long for expensive electronics
... well, expensive is relative, but I really just want it soon
So - how long have people been experiencing for an order to be placed (ie. go from "ordered, awaiting shipping" to "shipped"?
*my phone story if anyone interested*
I'm currently on my Motorola Atrix4G, my first smartphone, since June 2011 (ATT network, not that it matters too much)
the Atrix4G started acting up; bands near the top on the digitizer are flakey and often doesn't detect touch. Also display get's locked where I need to turn the display off and back on, like resetting the display.
I was (still am sort of) interested in the Motorola Moto-X phone, but due to the pricing and some snarky exclusivity choices they made, am swayed away from it.
was interested in the LG G2, but again, too much $$$ weight for my wallet to push
interested in the rumored "LG" Nexus5 phone. But fears that it might be in the upper $300's or $500's reduced its appeal
the Nexus4 is a good price, and I don't want to miss out, in case the Nexus5 goes on GooglePlay and pushes the Nexus4 out the door.
... and here I am today. Order submitted. Just awaiting order-shipment notice
Bought mine a little over a week ago and I have to say I'm impressed. After coming from the fluidity of a Lumia 900 to the HTC One X I was very disappointed and was thinking of canning android as a whole again (I've used many android devices and none matched the functionality of a BB or fluidity of WP) but I decided to pick up a Nexus 4 and give it a shot thinking I'd just sell or trade it but was totally surprised to find no lag. Actually no real issues at all. I bought it already updated to 4.3 and I can't figure what most are talking about when they say they are experiencing issues with the update.
This device is not only fast and responsive allowing me to be productive when need be, but also very beautiful. I can't lie I've gone spoiled off the Lumia. Lol. All I all I'm very satisfied.
Wow just realized I posted twice. Must be thoroughly satisfied. Lol.
Sorry I wrote that post in a rush, what I meant was
I have ordered my Nexus 4 and the phone I am coming from is the Samsung Galaxy S3, I was asking if the nexus 4 is worth it (is it any good?) I have also watched some videos on the Nexus 4 and it looks brilliant.

Yes, it is worth it... it is probably one of the best phones I have ever owned all around, with good radios, battery life, and screen. The only phone I ever owned that I probably liked better was my LG enV, and that was like in 2006/2007, but my Rezound was a close second.
It's a great device that you should be happy with. The only thing one could possibly be disappointed with is that the Nexus 5 is only about a month away.

I not too worried about the Nexus 5 as I do have an option to upgrade around April next year so I won't be having the Nexus 4 all that long if I don't want too.
