Who is keeping their Razor ???

Just curious who is keeping their Razor? I think I will keep mine for a while, I just like its size. Because it is so thin it rides in my pocket very well, doesnt feel "big" at all.

I know this is a silly post but was wondering who felt the same way.

I had my RAZR since the first day it was out, but just got the Moto X within the last two weeks. I too liked the size of the phone. I just couldn't deal with how slow it had gotten, and the horrible battery life. With each software update the phone got worse, and I did numerous FDR's and didn't fix a thing. Did I mention the horrible battery life.

I've had the Razr Maxx HD for just over a year. It's been a great phone for the most part - great battery (the best, actually), good size, looks (love the kevlar back) and general function.

Down sides are it tends to be laggy (I think mostly due to only 1 GB of RAM), can't change out battery (mine is starting to not have the same capacity as when new, which would not be a problem if I could change out the battery!), camera is adequate at best, and a few other minor quirks like bluetooth problems with my Bose Soundlink speaker.

I'm about to hop onto the Samsung Galaxy Note 3. I love the size of the Note 2 & 3 and I can change out the battery (which is almost as big as the Razr Maxx), 3 GB of ram, 2.3 gHz quad-core processor, blah, blah, blah.

The new offerings from Moto were a big yawn fest to me. I think Moto is losing ground fast. Much like iPhone. But at least iPhone has it's drone-like following that is too clueless to even try Android. Moto on the other hand needs to step it up, IMHO.

Still loving my Razr Maxx. Still getting good battery life and running lag free most of the time. Hate to give up SD Card and Motocast software, but I have been researching the Moto X, Droid Maxx and LG G2.

my RAZR MAXX is laggy too, battery is wearing and it is only 15-16 months

I am looking at the MAXX and the S4, right now to me it is a push on them

I have no intention of replacing my Razr Maxx until it gives up the ghost. Have had it since the first Maxx for UK arrived having upgraded from the standard Razr to get more battery life. Still get up to 5 days on a charge with light use. Can't find any other phone to match this. I don't find it laggy at all even if it not the fastest phone out there.
It still is the best mobile phone I have ever owned even better than my iPhone 4s.

Im keeping mine for now nothing new really blows it away in my mind and what i do. Though since i was with in 1 month of the upgrade time the phone started acting up hmmm i wonder why

It's funny that this is coming up now.

Last Thursday my RM spontaneously died. Was using it to tether and it shut down entirely. On occasion I could get a white notification light, which apparently indicated the battery was so dead that it couldn't even get a charge from outlet power to bring itself back to working condition.

The best info I could find suggested that I might be able to revive it with a programming cable, but I couldn't readily find one of those available cheap.

Brought it into my local Verizon store hoping they might have such a cable. The tech spent about 10 seconds looking it over before saying I should file an insurance claim. To my amusement he also said I should say I dropped the phone and it stopped working, rather than saying that I thought the issue was the battery. He went on to say if I said something like that I'd spend a couple of hours talking with tech support. Heh.

Filed an insurance claim online, which took another ten seconds, paid my money, and while I admittedly hoped I might get a new model of phone, instead I got another RM. While it's theoretically been reconditioned, I have to say it looks like new and thanks to the wonders of TiBU it's working at least as well as my old phone did. Getting it rooted was a bit of a chore but I figured it out eventually (after doing an FDR).

My contract's up in April, so we'll see what happens then.

Well I'm not keeping mine, since my charging port just broke (I have an ebay Google Nexus on the way). Besides, I'm looking at moving off Verizon when my contract is up.

I wasn't going to give it up but just cracked my screen today. Looks like a new one will run around $200. Really bummed as this has been the best phone I've ever used.

Seriously, though, I'll be keeping my RAZR Maxx for the foreseeable future because I have it set up the way I like, and there aren't any other phones out there that are _significantly_ better (IMO).

I have had my Razr Maxx since 7/12 and it is a bit laggy. I just put CM10 on it 10 days ago and it feels a bit faster. I still get a full day on 4g and a day and a half on wifi. My wife does not have a smart phone so she tends to use mine when she gets home and the battery holds strong even with both of us messing with it.

I have considered switching but I am afraid to move to a smaller battery. I have gotten so comfortable with the Maxx life that I have that I fear that I would be disappointed with anything less. The Droid Maxx would probably be a good upgrade but I do not want to lose my unlimited data.

Who is keeping their Razor ???
