Root [ROM][DEV][WIP] CyanogenMod 10 for the LG Spirit 4G

Are we talking about the CM Camera App or Focal? The camera App worked flawless for me and Focal hasn't had any problems yet in low light...

Cm camera. I'm running on an earlier build though. I just implemented those video fixes myself. Dont know if its the build or my phone just not agreeing with it. But I've been through a few fresh installs and the same thing.

This could be so much more badass, are people still working on fixing the issues with 4G & Bluetooth and the various video playback issues? I'd really love to use this as a daily. And would also like to know if this is as good as it's gonna get, or if people are still fiddling with this project.

I am the only dev I know of working on it. The community has been great at finding and experimenting with various fixes.

;)

Alright PG, thanks for all your hard work sir. I was just wondering because it's been a lil quiet around here lately. I absolutely love the CM builds (so customisable), always have ever since my first android the Ascend (which if I'm not mistaken you had a hand in as well) and as I mentioned above, I would love to be able to use this rom as a daily. I still flash back to it at the house with Wi-Fi data occasionally to play with its awesomeness, jelly bean is so badass!

So EVERYTHING but 4G and Bluetooth are working on the latest build now?

The latest build is so nice and smooth for me. I don't use blue tooth personally, but even without 4g, I install my usual list of 4.1+ apps can flash and run this build as a daily driver for weeks and not look back. My 3g data strength seems to have improved and I definitely have that 'new Nexus (pure vanilla) feeling' since flashing the latest build. Only unexpected closure I encounter is when I Settings/Storage/select all misc./delete and my setting closes. Other than that, this thing is just amazing.

Most of the time due to improper/incomplete downloads... I. E. If /Misc. Isn't there for you, you have nothing to clear. It's just like audio, downloads, etc. When I clear /downloads it doesn't close, just on /misc. And previous builds didn't do this, just this one. I personally don't care, doesn't reboot or cause anything too bad.

Pg my phone has some problem. It resets and eats up 10% of battery every time it does that. The phone doesn't do a factory reset but just resets itself. It goes to the boot video. Sorry that I can't explain it better than other ppl.

For starts this ROM is a wip(work in progress). When this ROM is fully capable of working 100%, he will take the "WIP" out of the post. He is doing everything possible to make this ROM 100% so just be patient. He is great at what he does so just be patient ;)

I think the coding for this device might be a little more than he can handle because he has other devices to work on as well that is in his spare time

Seeing is believing the day pg gets LTE working is the start of the golden age for me I'll donate 5-15 dollars if he gets it working ;)

o0o0o0 let me jump right on that..... lol j/k

Think I will start concentrating on the LTE issue and bluetooth as well. I think both will be easier to deal with once I get it booting w/o 2nd-init tho.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but there is still some 2nd-init script in the official CWM Touch? Now that we have recovery, isn't 2nd init kind of done away with now? Also on the 4g and Bluetooth issues, Can you try turning them on while running an adb logcat and perhapse see what processes fail to start pinpointing? I know the issues are more complex than a shell command, but if we can see what all fails, we maybe able to implement the right script.

there is nothing of 2nd-init in the Official CMW or in my unofficial builds b4 I made it official. And yes 2nd-init is not needed anymore for the spirit. All stock based roms can do away with it all together now.

With CM10.x I have to get it booting w/o 2nd-init, unfortunately tho this build still uses it.

Only change to this one (that I recall changing since the last build anyhow :)) is I updated the apns-conf.xml. So maybe LTE will work now, you all might need to try the diff network settings to see. ;)
