I do got a verizon store but I only can return my droid maxx where I bought it from. Which is best buy. If I ask for a cash refund they will just mail me a check. :rolleyes:

So I'm at the mercy of best buy. I got to play with the note 3 at best buy today on the display models. Felt awesome in the hands. I really hope they have some in stock Thursday morning.

Wait is over my friends. VzW has sent the preorder tracking codes for quite a few. Delivery looks to be Thursday. So I guess preorder saves a trip to the vzw store. Just as well, rally don't knock where they get those folks from. Just about all of us could do a better job than them.

Mine is delayed till 11/11. So I am going to the Verizon store to pick one up at retail cost till I get mine or the before the 14 day return window is up.

I pre-ordered within the first 15 minutes it became available online (9/6) and I've yet to receive shipping info. Kind of stinks when people that ordered at the end of September already have tracking info on theirs. I don't understand the point of pre-ordering something, obviously they don't ship in order of what the orders came in at.

Its delayed because I have a gold iPhone 5s 16gb on the same order as my pre-order. Either Verizon's system sucks and it can't split the order. Or verizon is just too cheap to ship two separate orders.

Maybe you could call and have them split it up. Don't know why they wouldn't have done it automatically. They make no sense what so ever!

There way of splitting it up is to cancel the order and start over.

Someone else on the board had an issue with their credit card. So their order was delayed. I had a pay full price order. Not sure that ought to have made a difference. Though if VzW was sneaky, they could prioritize those orders as its more $$ in hand quicker. that's a log of logistics to do that though.

probably worth a phone call to check.

As for the worthiness of preorder. I heard two plausible reasons. 1. if there is a big/giant demand, you'll be sure to get one, where stores might be sold out. 2. saves you the time/hassle for going to the store.

to be truthful, VzW never really ever even hinted at preorder == receiving early. 10/10 always been the talking point.

There is no luck needed anymore. They have stated that it ships out when the iPhone 5s is available to be shipped.

My tracking info says delivery by TOMORROW. No later than 8 PM! :eek:

I could have driven to Memphis and gotten the thing in 5 hours, but leave it to FedEx to sandbag my package 48 hours. Here I sit, nothing to do but play with my new device for the next two days, and it's not here!

I am waiting for today's fedex update. Is it still in memphis, or has it boarded a plane for Chicago for regional distribution up here. Trying to decide if I want to proactively leave a note on my door for fedex. I paid full price for this. would hate for this to be the first instance something was stolen from my front step.

Would FEDX even leave it at your front door if you left a note? I called to get mine delivered to my work address. I wouldn't take the chance of someone taking the package but it depends where you live.

Yes. I've done that in the past. Sometimes though, they will not accept that, some delivery options apparently ..must.. be signed by a human. its a quiet residential area. waiting for an updated time to know if/when its worth leaving work early for.

There is another reason to pre-order.........

The Verizon reps throw your device down on the counter like they don't have a care in the world during the activation and ringing up your order process. I would rather not give them that opportunity. I want to be the ONLY one to handle my baby as it is taken out of the box for the first time!

I didn't do any of the preorder crap and I'll have my N3 in hand at 9:15 am tomorrow. See link. VZW confirms in store tomorrow morning.

Couldn't risk preorder because I am leaving to go out of town Friday morning so I will be headed to the local Verizon store first thing tomorrow morning! So excited because my Galaxy Nexus is dying a slow death... I think I am even going to do something different and get a white one

Wow. Sorry to hear about all the delays. I had it shipped to my office so they guarantee before 4:30.

I paid using TWO gift cards and ONE debit card. I'm surprised it went off without a hitch!

And I'm happy to report that I finally got my hands on a genuine S View cover in black. From Verizon telesales. It will be here tomorrow before 4:30 as well!!!

Yes. You have to call and ask to order it. Make sure you specify it's for the Note 3 and not S4.

Came out to $62, including overnight shipping.

I tried calling and she said nothing is coming up in the system. I guess I'll wait until tomorrow. I haven't gotten my fedex call that I have a package being delivered tomorrow I have two others from fedex coming tomorrow and I got those calls hopefully soon.

That's strange. Try again and say that you were talking to a previous CSR who said you couldn't get it online, but that you could do it over the phone, and was in the process of doing it, but you had to hang up.

That's what I said because I had a feeling they were basically just looking online for you. Once I said that, she put me on hold for a second then came back and made it happen.

As far as FedEx, I just got an update. Left Memphis at 9:22 this morning. Should be enjoying a nice road trip right now.
