I'm in cbus and would have rolled with you man. I'm thinking my school district would have frowned upon marking "Expediting the transfer of my new phone" as an excuse for a personal day though.

At any rate...tomorrow, she will be mine!

Woot woot!

Just got tracking info for my S View case! Will be here tomorrow by 3pm, with my beast in by 4:30!

Since our FedEx guy always comes early, I'll probably have both of them waiting for me when I get back from my "appointment", which now that I no longer have to go to Verizon, will probably be spent catching an early matinee of "Gravity" in 3D, trying to get my mind off of my beast sitting on my desk.

Frakking Verizon, had to charge and ship before I had a chance to cancel and buy at the store. Now my "appointment' is pointless and I have to stay away from the office!

You got me again, Verizon. You got me again.

lol.. enjoy, and seen mine is finally showing at the sort facility here in cbus per fed ex.. so would've been a wasted trip

Went to bed early so tomorrow would come quicker. Dang if I didnt wakeup at 4 am and can't go back to sleep. Gonna be a long 4 1/2 hrs. Come on fedx. Right now coffee and cigs and the news.

Well, I'm 51 and doing the same thing! My Darling Bride DOES know and she shakes her head in wonder at my absolute geekiness.

Me: "You just don't understand what all this thing will do!"

I ordered my Sprint Note 3 from Amazon last Friday to save $50. I got a notice yesterday that delivery would be in 4 to 5 weeks.

I cancelled my Amazon order, went to Best Buy, spent the extra $50, and got me a damn phone.

Besides having phone in hand, I got to make sure, while still in the store, that I didn't have a wobbley home button. I am a happy camper now.

mines been extremely supportive the last few weeks, but mainly due to the fact hers comes today also.. and will get her back from the clutches of apple and iOS.. ha.. think only one time did I hear "just be patient".. which I glanced at the claw hammer laying in the garage when she uttered them words... jk...2 cases, new SD card and phones coming today!.. love me a delivery toy day!..

My wait time was a bit longer. It's my first smartphone and I decided to take the plunge in May, visited the London Samsung store still researching and resolved after seeing the Note 2 and some other phones that it would be a Note 3. So I was waiting about four months...

SWMBO has been very supportive.

Got Mine!!!! Not happy with the Verizon back cover though

not nearly as classy looking as the standard Samsung back.... I will probably be getting a cover for it. I will say that my store only got 4 of each color so if you are picking one up at the store I would get on it.

So I didn't pre-order, since I wanted to see the phone in person (and pocket test!) first.

I went to one store this morning around 8:30am, did the pocket test and was pleased. Asked to buy the phone off contract, and was told they can't do it since it's new. Asked about placing a telesales order right then, and they said it wouldn't work, different stock or something like that.

So I went to work, ordered the phone via VZW's website, and picked the "pick up in store" option since it's free. Less than half an hour later I got a confirmation email, so I'm heading to a different store in a couple of hours.

Still, this was way smoother than the Galaxy Nexus launch...

FYI : Verizon just updated their site within the past hour thus adding more accessories. Just picked up a 3 pack of their screen protectors.
