I'm loving this so much the updates are awesome and we don't have to wait weeks to try the new stuff you implement into the ROM, I love AOSP style and you have made it all the better.

I just need some help with my Bluetooth I try in settings and using the toggle, it says turning on Bluetooth but then turns itself back off every time, Its not just this ROM, victorious as well so I'm not to sure, any ideas cause I'm all out but will try pretty much anything to fix it lol.

I had this problem shortly after I got this phone. I fixed it by restoring a stock backup and then applying Jerry's no-props MG5 update. There are a couple of stock backups floating around the forum if you didn't make one and Jerry's update has it's own thread as well.

Icon issue same as me I'll fix It Monday and share no turn on icon

Huh?

----------

Status update: Update PRL/Profile should be safe. CDMA+LTE/EVDO seems to work. Activation, however, does not. The next update will remove the activation apk and the associated settings item. I am also completely disabling Sprint Connections Optimizer (the apk has been removed for a while but there is some remnant code that had to be disabled in the phone app).

Lmao my son had my phone when this notification came across and said " Dad some one has issue with bluetooth i said his icon wont stay on ill tell him how to fix it monday so he replied no turn on icon ill fix it monday " Ill post the fix after church today. sorry for the confusion gotta love kids.

Yeah, I have two of my own so I know how that goes. I'm curious about how you fixed this, because I had the same issue myself at one point. I simply restored a stock backup but if there is a more elegant fix, I'm all ears. Thanks for sharing!

Status update: Next version will have a fix for the Google target not highlighting properly on the lock screen. By fix, I mean I removed the target. Progress continues.
................................
UPDATE 2: FINALLY I fixed the notification layout to look like AOSP with transparent spacing between notifications. Going to make a few more tweaks to layout, default text sizes, and some coloring. I want to try to switch the default font over to Roboto for the next release.

everything is fine but cannot play online videos from websites and advanced developer options under phone build in settings are not working when they should but good port overall, simple smooth responsive but with a new update website videos should work and advanced dev. options too. they let you change graphics options like antialiasing and other cool things.

This is not a port of anything. This is a hacked/themed version of the stock ROM that comes with the phone. If it wasn't in the stock ROM and it's not in my 'features' list, it doesn't exist in this phone.

With that said, this is Jelly Bean 4.1.2, and Developer Options is already enabled by default. Go to "Developer Options" in Settings.

As for videos not playing, I have had no trouble playing videos on my phone. I don't know what websites you're trying to watch videos on, but if they require Flash player, please know that I will not ever include Flash player in this ROM.

DEV STATUS UPDATE: Further customized the Lidroid toggles. They are smaller, the 'indicator light' is removed, and as many toggles as could be have been replaced with ones from Cyanogenmod to give them a more 'AOSP' look and feel.
EDIT: Couldn't make them smaller as the layout container refuses to shrink. I will keep looking into this...

10/13/2013: R6.2
  • SystemUI notification item layout now matches AOSP with transparent spacing between items
  • Toggles now more closely resemble those from CyanogenMod
  • Removed Activation.apk and activation option from settings
  • Removed Sprint Connection Optimizer stubs from SecPhone
  • Permanently disabled SecMms notifications (again)
  • Removed "Google" lock screen target
-----------------------------------------
Added a few screenshots to OP.

There is no website for file download. The links are direct download. They work fine for me, sorry. I can't troubleshoot your computer, network, or internet problems.

All of them work except for the R6 Full. I downloaded the updates right away, but the R6 Full just sits and loads the page indefinitely.

Edit: Nevermind, it's downloading it. It just didn't open the download bar in Chrome so I thought it failed. Sorry for the confusion.

The lockscreen in the screenshot? What app is that? All that I've tried just takes me to the stock one.

Not an app. 2nd post has instructions for enabling AOSP lock screen (hence it's inclusion in my feature list).

  • AOSP Lock Screen is disabled by default. To enable, enter systme settings, select "Lock screen," then "Lock screen options," then enable the AOSP Lock Screen (last option on the list).

Just a few observations. I have no use for Facebook and just disabled it. If installing FB is the "fee" for this sweet ROM, that's fair enough. WiFi Tether and ES File Explorer is a great idea. Just makes it easier for new users.

I flashed R6 and then Update 6.2 right after that. I had to rebuild my default page. Basically placing 4 widgets back on there. Not a complaint, this has never happened before. Maybe it's because I didn't restart after flashing R6. I just flashed 6.2 then restarted.

As usual, nice work!!!! :D

R6 clears a lot of stuff out of the /system partition before it installs. This may be related to your default page having to be rebuilt, but I'm not sure.

There is a slight bug in the notification drawer layout in R6.2 where the quick settings buttons overlap the notification header, and the bottom notification (when the tray is full) will get slightly cut off by the drag handle. This has been fixed and will be pushed in an update in the not so distant future. A few more things I want to address before the next update.

  • Water ripple on Samsung Circle lockscreen -- DONE
  • 360-dgree screen rotation -- DONE
  • 1x data indicator (instead of only showing 3G+) -- DONE, needs testing
  • Add Robot font -- DONE

Release pending testing...

I'm having a glitch with multitasking. I don't have the clear all button anymore and the bottom app is slightly cut off.

Confirmed. This will be fixed in R6.3, sorry for the inconvenience.

Fixed. Recents now match AOSP style. There is no "clear all" button (or any other buttons for that matter) in the AOSP layout so there will be no "clear all" button for Recents in this ROM. Please don't ask for one because I will not add it. WORKAROUND: Swipe each 'recent' app individually until they are all gone OR don't open so many apps. :)

Thanks for the update. The Toggles are kick ass now bro. The only mod I made to your update is replacing the new ES Explorer with ES Explorer 3.0.5.2 (Let's you pick the partitions to mount r/w) and personally it's much smoother. I'm attaching a link to the ESFileExplorer.apk(3.0.5.2) on media fire if anyone needs it. If you don't have the tools to unpack/repack zips just download the apk, open ES Explorer, go to the download folder and click on it to install. Yeah you right! Thanks again bro and soon enough I'll be putting something out for the community to enjoy. I also attached the app here and some screenshots.

The new ES Files explorer allows you to choose which partitions to mount RW.

Cick the menu button at the top left of the main browser dialog. Scroll down to Root in the sidebar and click (do not click the on/off toggle). Select "Mount RW" from the pop-up menu.

Obviously you are free to remove anything that I pre-install and install any apps you prefer, but just wanted to make sure you were aware that the newer version does not lack the above-mentioned feature.

Glad you enjoy the ROM.

DEV STATUS: R6.3 testing is going smoothly. If all goes well, this release may also have a holo-themed contacts/dialer app, although the in-call screen probably won't be themed for this release.

STATUS UPDATE: In-call screen themed. This (contacts and dialer) is not my theme, I re-used resources from this theme for the Galaxy SII, modified (quite a bit actually) to work for our phone, with a couple of PNG swaps as well. Many thanks to BluesRulez over at XDA. A little more testing and I think R6.3 will be ready to go live!
