Help "Play Music" vs "Music"

Nope. It's a question of personal taste.

I'm sure there are those who love Play Music despite the indisputable fact it is the single worst music player ever to have appeared on a touch device - why work intuitively when you can confuse the bejazus out of everyone? Why require one touch when you can require 10? Why have one menu in one location when you can have many, scattered in random locations around the screen all doing different things on different screens?

I could go on, but I would hate to have my opinions influence you :D

Play music is by google correct, and music is an Lg player. The biggest difference is the LG app has a built in eq and play music does not. There are a lot better alternatives on the play store to fit your personal taste. However not all those are free, Some are some are not. Currently I use The LG app, but am always trying new ones.

Im new to Android. This is my first. But i am guessing Play Music is from Google and Music is a an LG app?

I noticed Music using a lot of RAM. does IT REALLY matter which one you use?

I use play music because it lets me store all my music in the cloud and i can access all my songs from anywhere. You can always store the music in the phone. It works pretty well without using too much ram.

Keep in mind data usage; I'm also new to android and this phone/OS during my first month of use was over 4gb. I had to tether my phone to a laptop for 2 weeks straight to get 3 gb with other phones/OSs and never hit 3gb on my Windows phone. I rarely stream and didn't watch many videos. I guess if you turned off all notifications and didn't use it like a smart phone, you could probably keep data usage low. I would imagine that streaming your play music collection would run your data bill pretty high, unless you have unlimited I'm anxious to see how my second month with this phone will turn out. Just checked...3 days into the new billing cycling and I am already at 500mb. Not sure why, but this OS gobbles up data.

I've been using the Play Music because I like the streaming service. I use the all access that I got in on for the $5.99 a month and it's got a good collection. I got in on the Glitch sale and got to keep my unlimited so it's not a big deal. I'm not thrilled with the overall functionality but I do like having access to all the music in their catalog. If i had to keep up with the data, I would definitely NOT use it though.
