Root [Virgin Mobile/Sprint] Link2SD / ES file explorer storage confusion

I'm confused on the storage shown on Link2SD (shown below).

- Is the "Internal" the part that the OS uses for itself?

- Is the "SD Card" the user available space built into the phone?

- Why is the "Internal" and the "SD Card" show the same space/usage?

- "Ext. SD" and "SD Card 2nd Part." is my real micro SD card I partition into 2 partitions, correct?

- "SD Card 2nd Part." is where all the app. data is copied to by Link2SD?

- "System" what is that?

- I'm not sure why, but I don't seem to have much "Interal / SD Card" space, but I have most things "Linnked2SD" except for a most of the OEM preinstalled apps.

On my ES File Explorer, I cannot seem to find the "SD Card 2nd Part.". Is there something special I have to do to see it?

For ES do you have root explorer on? There may be an additional setting to allow you to see all the partitions. Not fully sure why it is not showing up.

Regarding the Link2SD info here is my understanding.

For whatever reason data and sdcard0 are the same.

The other info should represent your external SD card. From your screenshot I am assuming you have an 8gb card with two partitions.

The Ext SD represents the portion normally seen by your file explorers.
The SD card 2nd partition is the extended portion that houses the linked file information.

I hope this info helps.

I did not have root explorer "on" (didn't think I needed it to see on my SD card). I turned it on and now I can see the SD Card 2nd Part. Thanks.

Yes SD card is 8GB divided in half. You answered my questions. Thanks.

So regarding how low my space is on the "internal". I have some games installed and linked. Is that what is probably eating most of my space. Do the games have some files that the Link2SD does not move over? (For example, I have Angry Birds Star Wars 2, World of Goo, Doodle Army, and Bombcats. That is really about it.)

Link2SD will not move all data files from apps. For games with large files you may want to use GL to SD which is for just that purpose.

Yes "data" and "sdcard0" point to the same area of user-accessible internal storage.
"System" is a separate area of internal storage that you cannot access, it is used for the phone's ROM and system files.

Internal listed on link is the /data partition which is on sdcard0, and is shown as sdcard also on link.

Sdcard on Link is the internal memory, shown as /sdcard0 in ES.

External SD is the microSD card on both. Sometimes known as sdcard1 on some roms, but not the f3.

The 2nd partition SD card on link is your link2sd partition on the microSD card.

****-That's how it is normally on my phones, but I am not running link2sd on my f3, so I could be off as to how it sees things exactly.
