From what I've seen on the engadget videos, the Desire camera quality is the same. So I bet when their ROM goes out for 720p video, we'll get it too.

I visited the Verizon store today in Brentwood, CA and asked to pre-order a Droid Incredible. Unfortunately, that store didn't do pre-orders for that phone in-store. The guy told me that pre-orders are only done online.

He told me that they would be getting 30 Incredibles on the 29th and that several people have asked him about the phone. He said that if I came in and the Incredible was out of stock, he would overnight me the phone for free. Also, despite me being only around 6 months into my contract, I can upgrade to the Incredible from my current phone for the 2-year contract price because of an early upgrade promotion currently running in northern California (and a couple other places throughout the United States).

I searched yesterday online for the signature card and couldn't find it. Will try putting a note on my door when gone but don't think that will help.

I took advantage of that same promotion when I preordered online (I live in Humboldt County). If you decide to order it online, you have to send them off an email informing them of your intention to use the promotion on the DI, or the website won't let you do it. It took them less than 24 hours to fix the website so that I could preorder.

Just so you know, that promotion ends on 5/1, so make sure you get the phone somehow before then.

Yeah the upgrade was in my area too, if you had a non-smartphone you could upgrade to any smartphone early w/o extending contract.

Yea, but those millions of packages moved every day that you are talking about are moved from/to locations all over the place. When Verizon ships an item that is on pre-sale, they have only a couple warehouses so they would end up dumping it all on two FedEx locations at once.

Aw, I would've ordered online if I knew I could with the promotion. Everything I read about the promo was that it could only be done in stores or over the phone. It's not too late for me, but I think I'll just stick with picking up the phone in the store.

So i just had a question? Does anyone know the best headphones with microphones to get with this phone? i don't want a bluetooth headset, unless it is a better choice. I checked out the Motorokr EH25, but i dont think they have microphones? Thanks MOTOROKR EH25 - Motorola USA

Everyone that pre-ordered will have the phone delivered by 4/29, nothing more to it than that!

Regardless of the fact that maybe you and I don't care about the shipping & tracking info, it would be hard to make the case that nobody cares about it, when there are literally hundreds of people posting Qs & As about it over the last couple days.

For some people who are excited to be getting their phone (hopefully early) and are trying to calculate the order in which things are being processed and shipped, for them, this is helpful information. Even though there is a separate thread for it as well, the info is no more O.T. than the many of the other interesting and/or whimsical musings we have all been exposed to over the last several hundred pages.

Yeah I preordered mine after the phone ordering was cut off, so I used that as my reason for needed to order over the internet. The online support dept was more than willing to accommodate.

You may want to try calling other VZW stores in your area and asking them if you can preorder. Brentwood must have at least a couple. The rep at the store I was in today was trying to get me to put in my name for the Incredible. Since he was willing to stay open five minutes late to let me look at the phone, I didn't want to tell him I had already preordered online and was just verifying my decision.

I've come to the conclusion that those that don't understand why someone might try and put the squeeze on a company in a situation like this are one of two things.
I won't bother mentioning one, but when you move out of your parents house and start paying your own bills, perhaps you'll get it.
For myself, everything I told Verizon were empty threats, but they don't know that. Really, not much trouble to call, and even less to email, so I really don't see why it bothers you so much as to say it's assanine(sic.) But hey, if calling people names makes you feel better about yourself, have at it. Maybe when you get a job and move out, you'll have enough going on in your life that such trivial things won't bother you so much. Good luck.

I've been trying to figure this out also over the last couple of days. There are threads all over the place regarding this. I havn't found any really good ones for under $100. The most popular on Amazon seem to be the V-MODA Vibe Duo, with 328 ratings at three stars (a little below what i would prefer), but apparently they go out a lot.

Thats cool that it works out for you, but if your driver works for a FedEx subcontractor, I guarantee you it will only take you one phone call to get him fired. Because of that, some drivers on some routes are very gun shy when it comes to even remotely breaking protocol.

VZW should have included an 8GB in my opinion. But whatever..I bought a class 6 8GB card...It will do just fine for a yr
