Best Android manufacturer?

I would much prefer better contrast, colours and higher brightness than a sightly higher resolution I would probably never notice.

Shocky seems correct, to me. I couldn't have said it better myself. My list would easily be the same as yours for the same reasons. It's all a matter of personal preference, but in my opinion Samsung is by far the best manufacturer.

I have moto & friend has Samsung, I agree Samsung make quality handsets. I like moto because of motoblur ( :p ) & I really like moto, despite some QC issues. I say follow your heart (after reading up on them first).

HTC have come a long way. They used to make the Orange SPV (first Windows smartphones) & the build quality was terrible (in my experience). Cheap tacky plastic & dodgy keys. I think Android comes along & makes them into something really good.

Beleive it or not i still have a working SPV in a cupboard :) loved the add-on camera which i seem to recall paying 50 quid for :)

moto has the best radios
stock has the best UI
Sony and HTC have some of the better build quality
samsung got it right by keeping removable storage and batteries
HTC and Nokia have the right idea where the camera is concerned
apple's got the right idea with x64 architecture

so.... they're all the best?

Samsung is the best OEM because they innovate. They know how to make cameras, TV's etc. They came up with hummingbird gpu, s-amoled and they included 6-axis control and FFC so that the IP4 couldn't be unique even in that regard. I have a feeling with the SGS that they are capable of so much more than this. Definitely a company that google should be lucky to have in its corner.
2nd would be Motorola. They are trying to make a comeback and they are getting there but they aren't in as comfortable position as Samsung.

I feel Motorola has stepped backwards. Removing the SD slot for cloud is a deal breaker for me. I like the build quality of a Sony phone. I do not like windows phones, the iPhones are last decades phenomena.

The best manufacture? Hum…

My favorite Android manufacture used to be HTC as well… then I worked in a warranty dept for a major wireless provider and HTC fell to 4th place :( HTC phones seems to have a bad habit of manufacture defects and this ruined my opinion of them, also their File Management system can be difficult to work with and you typically need to use Astro File Manager to move files to an SD card or to different places on the phone.

Don’t get me wrong HTC phones are not bad for first time smartphone users but when you try to get into the advanced stuff an HTC phone can be difficult to work with. Oh and HTC phones seem to have a lot of their own configuration settings too, which isn’t bad but if you go from another phone to an HTC things are arranged a little differently. But I am getting side tracked.

My favorite Android Manufactures are as follows:

#1: Samsung
#2: Motorola
#3: Sony
#4: HTC
#5: LG
#6: Pantech

Samsung is Hands down no contest awesomeness. But when choosing a phone there are a lot of things to consider other than who manufactures the device. By considering this list of things when choosing a smartphone you can save yourself a lot of frustration later.

Oh speaking of HTC! Did you know that HTC was the first manufacturer to release a smartphone that ran on the Android operating system?! How cool is that. The good thing about HTC is that they do like to mix things up and take chances, which is a positive sign of a good company.
