None taken! I double checked by enabling them, then disabling them. They disappear from the list of contacts for sure.
It worked perfectly - thank you!

You can't delete the Verizon pre-loaded contacts in the Droid line but you can disable them:
You can't remove them. But, in People, menu, contacts to display, hit customize, then disable the Verizon Wireless preset contacts.
Via doogald on XDA. I don't have my Maxx yet so can someone confirm this works?
Touchless Control is fascinating but still has a few wrinkles to iron out.
Of course one of them was to someone I REALLY don't want to talk to.
I turned Call when locked off and have had no unknown calls since then.

Then it would be an unknown caller and he might pick up the call, rather than knowing it is someone he wants to avoid.LOL! Why not just delete that person from your contacts.
One of the first things I did was disable the audio effects.
When I got the Droid Maxx I could not believe how fast it would power on. It was simply astonishing.
Today I took some measurements that I find very interesting ...
Droid X - 3m 50s
Droid Bionic - 2m 12s
Droid Maxx - 31s

If your Droid Maxx is registered with Google you can use ... Android Device Manager ... to locate it.
ADM can send a signal to your phone and it will ring for up to five minutes or to when the power button is pressed.
If GPS is enabled on your phone the ADM webpage will show you where the phone is located.
If you have it pre enabled you can have ADM request your phone perform a Factory Data Reset. To pre-enable the Droid Maxx go to Settings | Security & Screen Lock | Device Administration and make sure Android Device Manager is checked.
