I am curious how a root program works. I have some knowledge with coding, and just a little with Linux operating systems. I just am looking for an explanation for how it works.
As far as I've understood, when a developer sells you the phone, you are on a "guest account" with permissions given to you by the OS to certain places only. How does a program break that and give you the permissions that were restricted?
Can anyone dump the the text log to a root program, or just explain exactly how it does what it does?
