Note 3 on MetroPCS?

The hulk, yes it was a sprint one is there something I don't no lol? Arimol, some guy wanted to sell it so quickly to pay rent but I honestly don't know if he reported lost and just got another one...either way I couldn't pass on it.

if you paid someone to "flash it" someone may have made some money off of you.

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 specs

from my understanding of the information provided here, your device should be able to operate off of T-mobile's LTE network. I could be wrong, but it seems as if your device has for lack of a better word "hacked"

Lmao moved it over here but thanks for asking, I'm lovin it brother couldn't be happier also loving the new network and tmobile since I'm getting more bang for the buck

Cool same here gotta love the speeds and the price for the service

The Note 3 is awesome! Network is ok and even with one tiny bar, it works well! I got a 4G disconnection saturday, i don't know why. Finally, i found out i had to renew some rights/sign up again to access 4G, but i'm officially on MetroPCS (now owned by t-mobile) so maybe this is just them messing with the network.

Ok, so to get this straight, the Note 3 from T-Mobile works well on Metro network with byod and everything? Black Friday will be soon and I just want to make sure 100% before dropping cash on this phone.

What do you mean by renew some rights?

why is it so hard to believe? yes it will, and the other person/guy/lady gaga has a sprint one, so he's technically out of the equation for your question.

If you don't fully charge/discharge the battery during the first uses, you create kind of a memory effect modifying the thresholds to where the battery is considered fully charged/discharged thus reducing the efficiency of the battery.
So, it's important to always do some cycles of full charge/discharge the first times to avoid that effect.

Ugh no you don't. (memory effect)

You should do some research and actually LEARN something about our batteries before you go spouting misinformation here.

Charge your phone battery however (with factory chargers) and whenever you want. Just try and not let it discharge past 15%.

I'm curious, why not let it drain past 15%? not being sarcastic I swear

My guess is to not have it die on him the whole day afterwards maybe? Lol

Im 7 days away from mine..and i still havent found a quality case..all the good brands seem to still be unavailable...any help??

Lol good guess, I get all my stuff on ebay, and I usually only buy otterbox, they've always taken good care of me, seidio makes a very good quality product, I've had bad luck with every trident case I have had, ballistics are good, but they are a little light for my personal usage, hope that helps you determine a case, I'm still debating about getting one, I haven't seen my battery dip below 37% on my note 2 and I was on it for over 15 hours easy.

I had to go through i don't remember what settings and after validating some agreements, it validated i guess the rights to use 4G then it worked again.

Well i agree, that's what i used to know and experienced bout batteries for many years and doing some full charge/discharge cycles before a "normal use" were working just fine compared to people not doing it and having battery life issues after some time. So, ok, i assume this was THE trick and i kept using it.

Actually i just dig into some readings about batteries technologies... i concur my knowledge was a bit outdated. I found some very interesting articles about Li-ion battery and a very detailed one that actually says :

Simple Guidelines for Charging Lithium-based Batteries

  • A portable device should be turned off while charging. This allows the battery to reach the threshold voltage unhindered and reflects the correct saturation current responsible to terminate the charge. A parasitic load confuses the charger.
  • Charge at a moderate temperature. Do not charge below freezing.
  • Lithium-ion does not need to be fully charged; a partial charge is better.
  • Chargers use different methods for “ready” indication. The light signal may not always indicate a full charge.
  • Discontinue using charger and/or battery if the battery gets excessively warm.
  • Before prolonged storage, apply some charge to bring the pack to about half charge.
  • Over-discharged batteries can be “boosted” to life again. Discard pack if the voltage does not rise to a normal level within a minute while on boost.
It also says not to fully charge or overcharge li-ion batteries (in some forums they say threshold is 87%), but on the other hand, modern batteries are protected against over-discharge. They also warn against cheap chargers and advise to use factory charger.

Very interesting in fact.

In another article, the best batteries appear to be Li-polymer and Lithium-cobalt, most common are Li-phosphate and Li-manganese (both are li-ion batteries). Li-cobalt are becoming more common but have a higher production cost.

That website is full of information about everything related to batteries:

I see seidio has a case but the only reason i was looking for one of the otterbox or others is bscause of the "lip" they incorporate like if i dropped it face done it would not touch the screen because of that extra lip around the bezel

that makes sense, personally, I dont mind spending the extra money on otterbox, they make a quality piece, and in my opinion, even though the phone is quite large, it's more comfortable to hold then the ballistics, dunno if this helps, I had the seidio obex on my s3, I beat that case like I stole it and it still protected the phone very well.
