So I plan on using AIO wireless, which SIM card to order (I think the micro)? If I order the new card today it doesn't switch my phone number over until after I receive my card and activate it on the new phone, right? When my number is ported does that automatically cancel my Verizon account.. I'd prefer to leave it active while I try out a new service for a month.

Thanks, I am sure someone out there knows the answers to these questions.

I'm switching too. I called AIO they said that when you port the number it won't actually start service until you activate the sim card. So when you get your nexus 5 put in the sim card (acitivate it) you will close your verizon line at that moment. The only way for you to keep you old line open is to order 2 sim cards.

one to use temporarily with a new number for a month to see how the service is and then when you are satisfied order another card to port your number over.
