What's the error you are getting with Odin?
Where is it stopping?

at times it goes all the way to setup connection lil after it fails and other time it fails at the patching process itll do enter csc check md5 complete that pass it soon as seting connection shoots through and the com ID thing it caries usually at com 4 works at com 5 doesnt and idk bout com 6 after setupconnection... says Complete(write) operation failed and where can i find out what the error status number means flashing MH5 update gives status 0 in CWM and other stuff status 7

its not from the USB cable i know that 100% its the original cable that came with the phone ive used the same cable to flash ur recovery before and also also is it possible to cause error if build is ME3 but baseband MH5 my 3G doesnt wana appear for nothing its enabled in my settings but not geting no kind mobile data 1 last thing can there possibly a mod be made where it enables the (move to SD) button in the app info inside app manager just like the old prevail?

The first thing I did when I unboxed my prevail 2 was to toss the usb cable in the trash. They are junk. I cut the one that came with my first prevail open when it failed, the power wires were heavier gauge than the data lines. This means that after flexing a bunch of times, the data lines will break, but the power lines will hold up longer. This results in a cable that will charge, but not provide a reliable connection. On tablets, this is generally the first culprit when you see a red X charging icon

how come they send a 2-1 USB charger//data cable instead of seperate that sux

am try to use another and i had 2 of ur images of the MH5 one gave staus 7 binary outdated and the other status 0 (bad), where can i search to see the table off errors?

Is it jus me or can you not reinstall a custom recovery after flashing this with Odin... I try to reinstall cwm, it stays stuck at a full green bar for a while, then it reboots my phone saying PASS but no custom recovery. I even trued it with heimdall using Ubuntu and it stayed at 100% for a while, then told me there was some kind of error about the recovery or something. I think my copy of the phone might just be detective, cause i stated getting "shell has been granted superuser permissions" errors at random times by not even doing anything... is there like a fullllll odin backup of stock firmware I can use to completely restore my phone?

If you flashed this image it restored the patch that overwrites the recovery on boot.

Flash cwm with Odin but uncheck the reboot option. Then boot into recovery without allowing the os to boot. Once in recovery flash a su.zip it should prompt you to disable recovery flash. Select yes. And recovery should stick

I don't know why it's so hard for people to understand that the goal was to provide a method to get your phone back to the way a brand new one would come out of the box in case you mess something up and need to baseline, or you are selling your device and expect the new owner won't have the same taste in customization as you did.

where would I get such an su file? is it in the original post that has recovery? I have the stick.zip from the og prevail; will that work?

Yes. That's what I meant a flashable zip containing superuser.apk (pr supersu.apk) and its binarys

So I'm stuck at the first samsung screen. I'm able to got to download mode but I'm not able to get to the format/clear cashe meun. When I hold vol up and home I get a moblie up load screen with no options. I read all the these threads and tried everything. I need guidence

I'm bricked and I should have learned my lesson from a device i bricked just a month ago.

Please advise

anybdy else having issues wt a popup wt yellow text stating phone info n askin to updatr device n disable sun functionz i tryed to screen shot it but fail wudnt let use kept saying in red (factory mode on!!!) switch to user mode erc but how do u go usermode?
