So, tried flashing this twice now. Both times it put me into what really looks like a hard brick.

Rebooted into bootloader, then went to fastboot. Used that to flash the recovery linked to above. Rebooted into recovery, wiped, and flashed the file... everything went black.

Somehow by mashing buttons and plugging and unplugging my phone into a computer and charget I manage to get a charge light. From there I can reboot into fastboot.

Tried flashing the recovery, no problem. Tried flashing the ROM, everything goes black again.

ADB doesn't see my phone, neither does fastboot. Now I'm stuck trying to get my phone to start again.

Any thoughts on why these problems? Next time my phone comes up (fingers crossed) I think I'll go back to Meanbean.

I did run MD5's on all three files.

S-off, current firmware.

Wiped everything from TWRP (except for the external SD) to flash the new CM. Rebooted to fastboot to flash the TWRP they suggested. Flashed it ok, rebooted and nothing.

By mashing buttons I can sometimes get the phone to boot. It'll stick at the splash, then I reboot to the bootloader. Fastboot flashed the TWRP i had been using successfully again. Reboot bootloader, choose recovery and boom, black screen.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Alright, I think I have it figured out.

Ocn, thanks for the tip on the RUU. I used Viper's 3.16 RUU, which worked like a charm when I bypassed the initial checks.

After playing with my phone I have discovered I have a hardware problem which caused a software problem.

Whenever my phone is tapped on the back it loses power and cannot come back on until it is plugged into a charger.

When I was flashing I set my phone on the, causing it to lose power mid install.

Now that I've identified a physical problem, I'll be doing an insurance swap, after unrooting, of course.
