Hi.

I have updated to 4.3 today on my GT-I9300 BTU (Sim Free / Unbranded) and I too have encountered several issues including slowly responding lock screen (sometimes freezes and a battery pull is required), alarm intermittent and slow WIFI. The usual canned response from Samsung is to backup and factory reset which I can confirm does not work, so please don't waste your time with this. I actually performed a hard reset (vol up + home + pwr) and this has not resolved the issues. These issues are affecting quite a number of different network branded handsets as well as unbranded (info from other threads on other sites), so it isn't just an issue with one particular network. My advice would be to revert back to 4.1.2 if you know how to achieve this. If not, I'm afraid your stuck with the problems until Samsung releases a fix (maybe in months). Maybe now Samsung will finally listen to it's customers and include a feature in KIES to roll-back to a previous version, but I won't hold my breath!

Thanks mate. No dunno how to do that, fancy giving me a summary, I'm a quick learner;-)

To be honest I'm gonna need a refresher myself because it's been a while since I upgraded/downgraded my GS3 the unofficial way. I do seem to recall the last time I upgraded using the unofficial method, I had a lot of messing about when it came to reverting back to official updates. KIES would not let me update because it knew the phone had been upgraded using an unofficial method. This would also be an issue if you had to send your phone back under warranty because they would see that the phone was upgraded/downgraded using an unofficial method and this would void your warranty!
