G2's button location is weird?

I'm currently wavering bettwen Nexus 5 and G2, I like the bigger screen and better battery life of G2. But the location of the G2 screen locking button is annoying, it makes me really uncomfortable.

Yesterday I tried and found that I can lock and wake up the screen by double clicking it, which is a relief. But I'm also wondering if I flash the CM or other customized ROM into G2, will I still be able to do this? I don't like the stock Rom at all. Have you guys got used to the location of the button?

Thank you.:D

Double tap on will work and you have to use an app for double tap off if you go w/CM from what I've read. You can get there it's just how you go about it. I think this question has been asked in the XDA forum for the G2 / CM Rom.

I actually like the placement of the buttons although my case has the buttons covered in the back (ballistic aspira) which I prefer to the bare buttons.

You can see if someone can port the feature over but u can theme and different launchers without rooting just go to the playstore .

I am Currently using The Google experience Launcher (GEL) and I love it other than to turn off phone by knocking you have to hit the upper left corner when using it, it doesn't seem to register anywhere else on the screen. You can knock "ON" anywhere just Not "Off"
