Help No notification light...even with Light Flow

Well, I'm starting to think I've got a dud here. I almost never notice the notification light on my phone. I think I've seen it twice in the 11 days I've had the phone. When I did see it I noticed it flashed unusually slow.

I went ahead and installed Light Flow tonight to try and manage it so that it showed up more and flashed more quickly. Nothing. I can't seem to get it to come on at all, and I'm starting to think I've got a dud on my hands. I've gone through the settings in Light Flow and tried everything I can think of, including activating a test feature I found. Nothing. I set it to leave the LED on while charging and plugged it into the charger. Nothing.

I hope I'm missing something obvious. I really don't want to have to RMA the phone. Any suggestions for something I've overlooked?

Thanks,

Gary

Are you making sure the screen is off?

Well duh. I looked around for about an hour. I knew as soon as I posted on here someone would tell me it was something I overlooked or I would find it.

Turns out "Pulse notification light" was unchecked in settings. Checked it, and it's lighting up like a Christmas tree now.

Sigh.

After running custom ROMs on the past 3 Nexus phones, I've realized that stock Android "should" carry a lot of these little features that are packed into ROMs. Like a battery charging noti, addition of more quick settings toggles,etc.... Maybe "should" is the wrong word. It would seem likely that little features like this would be included given that little features like this have been in ROMs for a couple years now.

Sorry, just saying. The Lightflow thing dug up thoughts I was having the other day :p
