Makes a sound

I have an Avail2, model Z992. It makes a sound, not phone ringing maybe a notification but I cannot not find out what the sound means. I have no missed calls, no voice mail messages. Nothing in the notifications area. Any ideas what this is?

Hum… what does the audio sound like?

Could it be a new Email message? Check your email accounts that are linked to the phone and see if you have any that are unread.

Other than that try and let us know what the notification sounded like (if possible).

Was it like a kids bicycle? Was it 6 syllables long? Etc. This might help us pinpoint the exact sound and of course what it is signifying.

Thanks James, the sound was coming from an email account set up when I registered to get into the play store. I did not realize this had been done. Hope the developers of the os improve the notifications to indicate what the notification is.
