Please can anyone help?
I've got a stock unrooted 2012 Nexus 7 and as I'm an impatient old so and so I just couldn't wait for Google to push the 4.4 KitKat update so I downloaded it and manually updated my tablet using instructions from t'internet.
All well and good and everything went smooth as butter! I even updated Google search and sideloaded the transparency apk OK.
But....this morning I have a "System update downloaded" notification and my tablet's asking me to install the 4.4 update!!!!
My 2 questions:
1. Shall I just allow the update to install and overwrite itself; is this safe?
2. If not safe, how do I get rid of annoying "System update downloaded" notification?

I did last nite, its only a bit over 2mb as I recall (bug fixes).
